    @Biglad
    Read this at 7.30 this morning and have now recovered enough.
    What happened?

    Just an old chap, who should know better, trying to run around a grass field. Sprained, I think.

    Hard to tell age from legs!
    Hope you recover soon.

    Thanks @K67. It looks worse than it feels at the moment.

     ;) Don't worry - they're old!

    After looking at loads work trousers I decided to go for Genus as a 51st wedding anniversary present to myself. At least they were on sale. Really comfortable and as I do most of my gardening on my knees, can't reach the ground very well bending, sonething to do with long legs and short body, or maybe just age 🤔 so knee pads essential.

    I never even thought that there would be specific gardening trousers! In the actual garden at home I just wear whatever scruffy jeans or old sweatpants are handy. But my day job is archaeology and I have a heck of a time finding good work trousers that fit. Last time I bought some from a farm supply place but I will remember the gardening shop. Now if they only did them in high vis yellow, that would be perfect.
  • Going to work today and I dont care what I look like it's just that I find old jeans wear out after a while.today I've got old chinos on today but I know the knees are going.and knee pads always move down my legs! Being a woman and short things arent made for me! I'm a barbara.not a Margot!

    @the tidy gardener - Stretch leggings in a short leg length work for me - try Cotton Traders. Worn with a loose T shirt or fleece to hide my bottom!
    North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
  • That made me laugh the untidy gardener!thankyou!! I've just got back from work and I look like wurzle gummidge!I dont mind but like a twit I forgot my kneeling pad so my knees will not win the nobly knees competition .maybe the filthy bruised one?!
