A gentleman should always wear a collar and tie when supervising the domestic help.
    But I'm not a gentleman...😊🙋‍♀️
  • Shorts or cords.
  • I wear old Jean's but am very frustrated as when aldi do workwear it's always for men! I work as a gardener and a friend of mine has a labouring job and she finds it hard to get trousers for women too.the ones advertised in magazines are always very very expensive, covered in flowers and wouldnt last me 2 minutes!

@the tidy gardener I have always bought mens as for years makers assumed women have short legs!
That why I was really drawn by the Genus trouser but the price is too much.

I was wearing tight leggings when I got half a dozen bites in my bum - the only place I forgot to apply repellent.
Now insect repellent gardening clothes would be a thing!

Fortunately, they were the itch like mad for a day variety rather than the swell up for a week ones.@K67. 😊

Screwfix used to do women's workwear, including boots but don't seem to advertise it any more so I'm not sure it's still available.

An old and baggy pair of jeans, t-shirts, a very aged jumper if it is cold and the inevitable hat.  The jeans have lots of pockets, but I usually carry all my tools in a trug.  Need a kneeler with sides to help me get up nowadays, which also helps to be able to lean over plants. Have some knee pads but as the kneeler is well padded rarely use them.    Definitely do not go for the stylish look I'm afraid.  Strange how we do not worry about what we look like when gardening but other times always want to look our best!!!!

@K67 Oh dear - you may have just turned this thread into a Knobbly Knees 2020 competition

     :D

Never mind the knobbly knees, the ankle is gross enough! Apologies to those of a sensitive disposition.
