Thank you @Victoria Sponge The new bed is now almost complete I think and I'm now looking forward to seeing it mature. So now, in addition to my planned pergola extension, I have designs on this bed. Which I am hoping will then pull everything together into the 'new rose garden, of my thread title. I have a couple of roses in here already, Generous Gardener on the front of RHS pergola (pink outline) and Toyah (Paul's Scarlet) on the back of same pergola. Falstaff (Maroon outline) and an existing unidentified pink shrub. I intend to add possibly 6-8 new roses among the other permanent inhabitants. I know what 2 of these will be (white outlines), the others I will continue to work on. Thanks for your interest
with many thanks to @Marlorena & @Fire for giving me the power of collage. Oh dear, that's happened to me before with bulbs...I think I had 2 replacement batches before I got the correct colour.
If it was my bed, I'd mark every space and then plant the QotN this winter for a mixed display, but I think the bed will look pretty good anyway with your Ghost of the Night tulip's all flowering;)

Ghost of the Night, 555, love it. TBF I don't mind these white / creme coloured tulips as it is consistent with my rose colours in this bed anyway, but I shall add QotN this autumn I think, as you say.
How very odd @owd potter, but not unknown for bulbs to be not what was ordered. I found QofN weren't reliable for me so hope they do better for you. Just walked quickly round the front garden and found lots of tulips now showing colour but couldn't find see of my Ballerina ones?
Indeed @Lizzie27 I planted QotN, so I thought, because they are supposed to be reliable repeaters which so many hybrid tulips are not. Oh well, maybe next year.
