New Rose garden

    I think we've got lucky with the weather re. Magnolias, for those in the south at least.. 

    I used to grow a rose through one - no surprise there - but I'm not sure I'd recommend that..

    Hmm,
    I've been toying with that idea.
    I have apple and damson trees in the back border also and was considering planting rambling rector to scramble through them all...

    I recognise that crazy paving, we've got some just like it! (fortunately only a couple of steps left)

    I imagine it must have been almost ubiquitous in the olden days (our house is 1950) 
    I think I just have to put up with it @Lizzie27, I have far too many paths, steps and general areas paved with it to even think about replacing it.
    TBF, I don't even really notice it anymore
