I look forward to following the progress, it's great to have plans in one's head to work on..
You've got plenty of time to ponder your rose choices..

@owd potter  Saw earlier that TW still have some bare root ramblers on sale - may be worth a look thinking ahead. Could be potted on until you are ready to plant them?

Many thanks @Lizzie27 for the kind thoughts.
The pergola rambler will be 1 of an 8 to 10 rose haul next bare root season and I'm, as yet, undecided on what the others will be so don't mind taking my time to decide.

What fun! Marlorena recommends GdeF today on her rose thread - worth a look.

I already have it on the middle pergola section.
I did note that Marlorena gives the impression it can get quite large from year 3. DA (I think) list it as 3.75m, but I'm hopeful now that it may rampage a bit...

Great to see it all developing beautifully Owd, that’s the trouble with the rose bug, you keep eying up new spots to expand the obsession into! I look forward to seeing it this summer, so keep posting.

Ayup @Nollie good to see you again.
    Isn't it just.
I'm eyeing my middle border and, let's say, considering working it over to shoe horn a few roses into it.
    obsession?
