Morning Ruby. I hope that you have a good day too, whatever you get up to.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
  • I did it!!!
I went on the bus, got some lovely fruit and veg from the veg stall. Also popped to the library first and picked up a book I'd had put by.....phoned this morning to see if they had it.  Then came back home. Not out that long really, but baby steps.
The book is beautiful, one I've been thinking of buying from the big river. It's called Vintage Rose's, there are some gorgeous photos of different types of Rose's but after the quick look through, I'm glad I've seen it before ordering. For the price, I don't think it's that informative and not what I was expecting re 'vintage' Rose's.  A lovely coffee table book and probably a nice gift, but it's more a very expensive David Austin catalogue with less information. But I will enjoy flicking through for a few weeks 😉
  • Afternoon All,
Rosie sounds like you are reading a really interesting story, hard to put down once you get started,
Hope you have a good day too Rubee, very breezy here today,
Well done Lily, it is sensible to take things slowly, but it will help to build up your confidence by going out like that. Enjoy having a look through the book, vintage roses sound lovely,
Work went ok, feel tired after the shift though so going to have a restorative cuppa and see what happens after that. Decorating is waiting till the weekend now, I haven’t the energy for it.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

Hello all. Well done SGL! I bet that you feel good now. The next time you go out will not feel so daunting to you. That roses book sounds nice but, as you say, probably not as informative as a DA catalogue. Feet up Chive. As you say, the decorating can wait. I got home to a red card from the Postie so I've rearranged a delivery for this Saturday.

LB I’ve found the Strike series interesting and surprised it’s a book by J K Rowling under another pen.  I hope your hair appointment was fun.  Lily well done on your outing.  Chive I hope your day went well.  Today I pottered, cut my hair, showered and sorted through some books.  I’ll leave the ironing until tomorrow.

Hello Rosie, yes the Strike series are written by J.K. Rowling under the pen name of Robert Galbraith.

  • Thank you LB, Chive and Rosie. Did feel rather strange, but feel a bit better about going out next time. Although still have yet to go in a supermarket/shop. I only needed to go slightly inside the library as there was a librarian standing by the trolley where the saved books where. But it's a step forward 😊
