Afternoon folks, It's been quite a sunny day here, but not too hot.  Secondborn dropped the boys off for a couple of hours while she went to see her best friend and update her on the current situation.  Her Hubby has driven up to the lakes to tell his mum and dad.  I took Gabriel round to my friends and he played football with her granddaughter while we had a cuppa.  Hubby took Jonah to the park.
Before they arrived I managed to get some gardening done.  Moved a few large pots around and cut back a few plants that had gone over.  Have a cracking headache today so I'm sitting watching an old episode of Vera with a cuppa and a couple of painkillers.
Didn't get round to the quiz today LB but thanks for posting.  Have a good day everyone.

@AnniD you are most welcome. Of course we don't mind. You take is easy Yvie. You have had a lot to deal with recently. The temperature and thundery atmosphere all contribute to inflaming bad headaches I think.
    p.s. I love Vera.

@AnniD we have quizzes on here every Saturday and Wednesday. A mixed bag, but just a bit of light hearted fun.

Thrips are sometimes called thunder flies. They love hot, dry conditions. That picture is magnified.

    Good evening to all!
I'll go to bed earlier this evening. After refreshing night and morning it was another hot day. I was preparing lunch for friends on grill and open fire. Now I need a proper shower and sleep.

Wish you all good night and see you tomorrow.
