Sorry to hear you’ve been put in such a difficult position @Busy-Lizzie - I’d be fuming 😤

Sad news @Yviestevie - as you say, you being there for the boys will be really good for them.  Hope secondborn is ok too.  We don’t ever stop worrying do we ☹️

Finished our beach day (Witterings, not Bournemouth) before the weather changed.  Chicklet has just headed off into the sunset 🌅.  Will be down to see her (with all the bits she couldn’t fit in her car) next week.  Feeling sad 😞

@Yviestevie ((hugs)) difficult times ... but having tried for years to hold a failing/failed marriage together I realise now that in our case at least it would have been better for all concerned, especially our children, to stop pretending much much sooner, and build a new way of being parents apart that worked for us all. My thoughts are with you all while you find out how relationships are going to work for you all ((hugs))

Just been out for dinner at a local pub. They've done a great job to transform their beer garden with an outside bar/food ordering station, hand sanitiser/2 m markings and tables well separated. Only thing I didn't care much for was trying to eat fish and chips  out of plastic boxes with tiny wooden utensils. I understand it's much easier for them at the moment but not something I care for.

Very thundery looking, we thought we'd get deluged so left early. No rain yet! What's the betting it will all kick off in the early hours.

We have had two huge storms with torrential rain down here this evening. Useful rain for once. Much cooler now.

Oooh fish and chips 🤤 😋

Night night all ... hopefully we’ll have a restful night ... must be up early ... boiler service between 8-1 ... 😯

Yes, the fish was excellent, beer battered as well but so big, I couldn't eat it all! The pub had a greatly restricted menu as you might expect these days.

Terrific lighting show here at the moment. Not much rain though.
Still above 25 degrees upstairs though.

  • Good evening all,

Busy, busy day, probably busiest day since we opened not counting our special soirées, people just keep coming, 4 staff on all day and still not enough. Luckily I have an old friend coming over to help out tomorrow for a few weeks, she's a little dynamite! Much needed. 😱

It's rained all evening, the flowers and lawn will so appreciate it.

@Busy-Lizzie, bless you, you're so kind to your family. I'm sure it'll all be fine if everyone is sensible and be respectful of each other.
The accident seems very sad in Aberdeenshire, we need to appreciate every day, one never knows your moment.

@Yviestevie , very sad but I'm sure for the best. In my personal experience children are extremely resilient, we struggle more than they do.

Anyway, goodnight all, stay safe. Xx

I’ve not been on here for a couple of days. Have a rush order for my knitted dolls. The gallery shop is down to 3.  🙄. The trouble is that I’d rather be out in the garden than sewing faces etc. on the dolls. Oh well, I have to keep them happy. Catch up later.

Ps. Dove, my Art/iPad table has arrived. I’m very happy with it. Thanks for the heads up.
