Dianthus carthusianorum, the petals are a bit pinker but the calyces are very dark cherry red giving a similar colour effect. Likes sun and good drainage though.

In that case, if you have the space, Persicaria Amplexicaulis will do well in those conditions. Monardas too, take a look at Monarda ‘Raspberry Wine’. The Calycanthus shrub should still be fine in those conditions.
Phlox is a good call @yorkshirerose They are pretty much bombproof and more importantly slug proof
i already have quite a few in other parts of the garden including Nicky which is pretty much the perfect shade. But for that reason I’m not sure if I want any more

i have a nice clump of Persicaria Firetail already. Very reliable but a bit too thuggish in my garden for this spot
