No doubt. But these colours are fickle, depending on the age of the flower, the light, probably the soil etc. I think it could be magenta, fushia, dark purple depending on the day.
Funny you should say that.  This buddleia is from a cutting last year and has more colour in the flower than I have seen from the parent plant for years

    Black Parrot Tulips?
    Rudbeckia Cherry Brandy?
    Sunflower Chocolate Cherry?
    Grenadine Coleus?
    Supertunia Black Cherry?

This is fun, I love colors. 😆

    Cerise achillea?
Or if you are feeling daring, you could pick up on the orange eye!

All depends on your soil type, but something like Sanguisorba Officinalis 'Red Thunder' or Knautia Macedonica do well in reasonably well drained soil in full sun. If you have the space for a shrub that will make a bold statement in summer, Calycanthus x Raulstonii 'Hartlage Wine'.

Hi Borderline.  I deliberately left off soil type and position because I didn’t want to restrict anyone’s imagination 😁

FYI though we are looking at partial shade in clay.  So not a great situation

Thanks Rachel.  I hadn’t considered a rose but funnily enough I already have Falstaff climbing up an obelisk in another part of the garden.
