  • I ventured out just to see, and stings all over the place. met ie now say only "wind " will be 7 kph and temp rising to 24 which is above my PMP. ( personal melting point) . So I hereby resign the day to indoor with curtains closed as the glare off the ocean.. Would be lovely out on the water...ah well.Ā

Yes I love my wild garden; I did leave the corner section near the "dwelling" totally wild with nettles and brambles galore for the birds and butterflies. That border cannot be much wider as then it will lose the wind protection of the fuchsia. There are three small lupins in the undergrowth somewhere! And I need to split the lovely big marguerites that were here when I came and move them to the back.

Maybe if there is a moon tonight.... the midnight gardener..

No postal or other deliveries at the weekends and usually not Mondays but if there is a parcel he will come over specially. All very informal out here. There IS a post box ( green out here of course) by the old school, but a bird built a nest in it.....Postman kindly takes outgoing too. I have plenty of oddments. Ā

Your weather over there looks …. like …..stay cool..

    Afternoon everyone,Ā Ā
Didn't post yesterday as I had an awful headache all day. Still have a bit ofĀ  a muzzy head. Think it's the heat, it's so very very hot. Need a storm to clear it. Garden is so dry even with watering.Ā
Sorry haven't read back yet, hope you're all well.

Afternoon having a quick tea break,Ā
Rubee I’m glad you had a better night last night, makes the world of difference,
Rosie I’m pleased you managed a few more hours sleep in the end, take it easy today,
Lily nice to see you but I’m sorry to hear you had a rotten headache yesterday, it’s far too warm to do much today take care,Ā
Oh well back to it have a nice afternoon All.Ā
  • YAY!Ā  A sweet breeze so out and "mowing the meadow " with the rechargables. My nearest neighbour who owns the land next door was up and down the lane on the tractor Ā  bringing his hay home. If tomorrow is as good I will be able to bring my hay in to use next year. Knackered and a little nettle stung but wonderful out there. Nowhere as lovely. Was worried that the shears were not recharging then realised that the red light only comes on when they areĀ  fully charged. They lasted at least an hour of continual cutting.Ā
  • Island, at times like this I would love to feel a sea breeze across my face. Lucky you.Ā
Oh I know. I waited many years to get hereĀ  and value it so much.Ā  Wish I could waft it to theeĀ

Afternoon Hazel, how I would love for team Songbird to be here šŸ˜€ why is it I have only little drill holes to hide but end up covering most of the wall with filler trying to get an even finish?!! Oh boy it is a warm job nonetheless, packing up for the day now, a cool bath beckons liquidsĀ to follow šŸŗ
You both sound like you’ve had a busy day indoors and out, hope you have a relaxing evening to enjoy now.Ā
