Thank you Hazel @Songbird-1 Yes at least they are keeping a check on it. Have to wait and see what they can do to treat it. That is a lot of garden stuff you’re getting cleared out of the way today, it will be nice to see the back of it & more space for something else 🙂
Afternoon all. Grass cut & edged, me showered, OH cooking this evening's dinner and we're getting ready to watch the F1 race. I'd say life is hectic but it really, really isn't - things seem to have slowed down so much in these last few months. I think a book beckons after the race.
Ante - I'm so very, very sorry to hear about the accident with your lovely little kitten. It won't stop your guilty feelings - but you have to know that it really wasn't your fault in any way, shape or form. Big hugs for you my friend. We love that you care so much about it. x
Chive - hope something can be done for your mum - best wishes to you both. I've not had much luck looking for battery operated pumps and fountains so far. I'll let you know if I find anything.
@islandanchoress - just had a quick peek at your blog. It's lovely. I hadn't realised until I started reading, that your name really does describe you. You seem to lead a very peaceful and contemplative life with your feline companions and I hope you soon start to feel a little better so you can enjoy some more coastal walks in the summer sun.
Hazel - good you've been able to get rid of some stuff at the tip. I need to go too but am struggling to get sufficiently organised to make an appointment!
OK - Pre-race twaddle is calling - see you all later.
PS - LB - mice in kitchens - eeek! Short rations for Lily 'til it's sorted!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Afties all. Had a great meet up as ever with the rellies and just as I was leaving my brother and sister-in-laws, my niece and her husband with their two youngsters arrived so we were able to have a catch up at the end of the drive. I haven't seen that section of the family since before C*******s last year. Lovely day. As I was coming home I went through two cloudbursts. It seems odd just having such localised rain - one of them, I might add, was as I approached my junction on the M6! I'm hoping to get into the garden a bit later. Watch this space.
Glad you had a better sleep yesterday SGL. It does make all the difference. Ante, I love love love your picture and what super news about your veggies. I'd buy from you if you lived nearer! Well done by the way.
Chive, its good that they have managed to pinpoint your Mum's eye problem and fingers crossed that they can get it sorted soon. T'Bird, I can't be doing with all the twaddle that accompanies any kind of televised sport. I was highly amused by the football pundits in the commentary box at yesterday's FA Cup final (bet you were pleased Ante!) because we were able to see their celebrations. The mice problem will be sorted believe me but I'm not counting on Lily to contribute anything useful. I have some humane traps to use so any prisoners will be transported to the bottom of the garden and released.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB it’s good you were able to catch up with some of your extended family today and I hope you had a very good morning.  Lily I’m glad to hear you were able to sleep.  Chive I hope your mum will be able to get her eye sorted soon.  Ante lovely vegetable selection.  You will be popular and your harvest and baking.  I’ve had Lily’s tv on and have come to the end.  I was watching tv but now silence thinking of island in her retreat and that you feel stronger soon.
Afternoon All, nice temperature today with a breeze made it feel very pleasant, Rubee hope you’ve had a nice relaxing day, T’bird Thanks for having a look for me, my FIL has the same fountain I’m having unscrupulous thoughts! no I wouldn’t really 😇 hope you’re enjoying F1, LB what a nice catch up you had with your family today, that worked out very well. Hopefully none of those wet outbursts followed you home, Rosie I’ve got a few wet things on an airer today that I need to bring in, but I really dislike the hot flattening job, Ante I couldn’t help but notice the floor tiles in your picture, I have a feeling we have the same ones on our patio. I’ve taken a photo to see what you think?,
Evening Ooh the Chives are looking good LB very healthy and growing well. I chopped mine today to add to new potatoes 😋 lovely Clemmies they’ve soon covered that obelisk, looks very attractive. The Purpurea Plena Elegans is absolutely gorgeous, I managed to find two suppliers that sell the parts I need for my fountain, both out of stock 🙄 so I’ve sent emails to see if they know when they’ll be back in 🤞
