@Songbird-1 Which number OS are you using? I think I’m on IOS 13.5 but i’ve just seen that 13.6 is now available. I’ll give it a week before upgrading in case of hiccups.

    Lovely sunflowers Ante.

GW sounds good LB - I’ll see it tomorrow. Pretty puss cats too.

    Sleep well everyone.

Hello everyone. This day last year I was getting organised to go to Tatton Park. 😭

Enough of all that. No point in looking back. I'm thinking positively. I'm positive the rain outside will water my garden and fill my water butts to overflowing. I'm positive the rain will stuff up today's cricket in Manchester. I'm positive the adult and junior blackbirds will be vying with Pidge for the top of the washing line perch and I'm definitely positive there will be no sitting outside on the patio. I wonder if that's enough positivity for today? 🤔

Good morning LB and all to follow.
LB, this year plans are all changed. Let's hope so that next year will be more normallike. You can never overdo with positivity.

Here is sunny but unusually chilly morning. I watered my garden and it's all for today. I'll stay inside and rest a bit.

    Yesterday's harvest.

Morning Ante. Yesterday's harvest is looking good. Sounds like a good plan to just take it easy for today now you have got your watering done.

Morning LB, Ante and all to follow.
Didn't sleep that well last night, awake around 3 for a few hours. Then woke up again at 6.30. Tried to get back to sleep, but gave up and had breakfast.
The sun is shining at the moment, should be ok today but rain forecast for tomorrow again.
Ante, great harvest of vegetables and your sunflowers yesterday were beautiful too.
LB, you don't seem to be having great weather either, hope you get some sunshine soon.
Have no idea what we're doing today, probably a lazy one.
Meant to say LB, my hairdresser phoned me at last yesterday, I haven't booked anything yet as we have to shield during August. But when I do have a haircut, I might try the one in our village which will save me a bus journey. I don't fancy venturing far.  My hairdresser did tell me she was charging the £5 extra fee for the foreseeable future because of all the PPE equipment.
Time for another cup of tea, have a good day everyone.  Take care

Morning all. Sorry to hear you have wet day LB - you don’t need any more rain but we could do with some. Forecast to be warm & cloudy here so I’ll do some cutting back and cut the lawn before it gets too hot.

Such a shame that none of the big events have happened this year. The flower shows, Wimbledon, the Proms etc all give a rhythm to the year. I’ve only been to a handful but I watch them on TV. The lack of ‘normal’ fixtures adds to a sense aimlessness and we’re all saying ‘what day is it?’ Lovely for a couple of weekswhen you’re on holiday but I think that when it’s the norm it contributes to the fatigue so many people are feeling. Humans need some routine and structure in their lives and, at the moment, we’re missing that.

On a similar but related note did you hear Boris say the ‘C’ word in his speech yesterday? Far too early to be thinking about that!

Sorry to hear you’re not sleeping well Lily. You must be feeling even moredisorientated than the rest of us.

You have a nice harvest there Ante. Have you had the same problem as us with ‘bad’ courgette / marrow seeds being distributed? Can cause severe stomach upsets - some people ending up in hospital. Pansyface was affected quite badly and 2 seed companies have now issued warnings. We have to lick a courgette when prepping. If it’s at all bitter the whole plant has to be thrown on the compost heap.
