    Why is it that every time you go to pick something up in the garden you are standing on the other end?
    Tick no.16 extracted today. >:) At least they are all 1st instar and probably haven't fed elsewhere yet so no Lymes disease so far.

    Back in the day when I worked for a living and had to garden in any free time at weekends it was done come rain or shine, with or without a coat as needed.   Now I'm retired I can choose not to garden in heavy rain, heavy winds, hot sun..........

    Went into a room to open the curtains and they were already open. What a dreary dark dank depressing drizzly day😞

    There's simple explanation for the dank, dark, dismal, dripping weather.  We had a glorious summer when it should have been spring, so now it's autumn.

    My husband suggested putting  heating on. I suggested a jumper.

    Still sleeping with all the windows open here. The kids' bedrooms aren't dropping below 20c.
