Morning Chive. It must be a big wrench seeing the Year Six transition to 'big' school. I know the feeling about seeing them progress through the primary school as I was always a little sad that we didn't have a sixth form at the school I taught in. The relationships that started to develop between teachers and the oldest pupils in the school were very special. Pupils started to realise that we were working to give them all the help we could and we enjoyed seeing the budding maturity of most of them. It was certainly a most pleasant time - apart from the exam stresses - and then they were gone. Off to Year 12 in the sixth form colleges around us. Such is life, but it is a memory of a time that will always make me smile.

Morning LB, yes that’s it you do feel like you’ve played a part in their lives, seen them grow into young adults. It was sad they couldn’t have any of the leavers celebrations, no performance for their parents, not even able to mix with their peers. Atleast we will see the return of the years 2-5 next week, so they can finish this term with their teachers. What strange times it is.
Morning everyone . It’s sunny here at the moment , I hope it stays that way . Chive most of my pots are sorted . The wet weather we have has caused the garden to grow into a jungle . I guess it’s much the same for lots of gardeners.LB , I hope the forecast dry weather comes your way . I must get myself sorted . I have a clemmie to plant .
Morning Ruby. Another Clemmie????? I think your garden has elastic sides! Which one have you got now? I have just been and had a cautious peek at the dunnock nest and its empty. I had noticed that the parents were not flying in and feeding over the last few days which is why I decided to risk it. I am so happy that things turned out so well. I did try to take a picture of the nest but it is really well hidden in the clematis. I need another pair of hands to hold the branches apart. When my nephew comes to finish the gate I might be able to get a picture then.

Morning everyone 🙋♀️🙋♀️ Thank you Chive. The weather can't make it's mind up at the moment, one minute it's sunny the next its very over cast. I've got wet cloth things to go out in a minute. Probably my fault, I got all excited about the sunny weather, so I put the chairs out 😞 This had all gone daft again, so I'll say TTFN and hope you all have a good day
Morning all, Off to the opticians in half an hour. Hope they can sort it out as it's driving me up the wall.
Have been out in the garden deadheading and cutting back the foxgloves. Lots of dahlias coming into flower and lots of new buds on the roses. Hoping to get the lawns cut and edged this afternoon. Keep getting dark clouds but they seem to be passing over. When the sun does come out it's lovely. Have a good weekend everyone.
LB the clemmie is Rouge Cardinal . I have it between two pale pink clemmies in my very large trough . Evie I hope that the optician can help you .Lily I hope the weather brightens up for you .
Afties all. Rouge Cardinal is a lovely clemmie Ruby, I have one in my garden. Today's logos quiz - again there will be duplicates but some new ones as well.
