Good morning all! Sunny here so looking forward to going for a walk with my sister again this morning. We have decided to start going again and hoping the little coffee shop is open.
Fiancé has given up job as delivery driver it’s just too stressful and he is contacting a few people hoping to find work as a chef. Fingers crossed!
Hope everyone has a good day planned.

Morning Debs. You weren't there when I posted last. Good to hear you're starting your walks again. How is your sister doing? Fingers crossed your fiancé finds another chef position. It may be a little easier with things starting to open up again and the prospect of lots of people taking advantage of the three day 50% off meals in August. My handy brother says he is going to go out every day!

Yes LB he is trying to get in touch with his contacts etc so hoping things improve and he can start doing the job he loves soon. Well done to your brother!
My sister is much better than she was, we have lots of moms stuff to sort through still so hoping to do more of that this weekend.

    Sympathy card in my
    box of cards.....im
    hoping there's one
    there. A friend from OH
Golf Club has died.....not of the virus. So very sudden. Unfortunately we won't be able to go to the funeral.  Limited numbers anyway.

Afternoon all - funny old day - shunshine and showers. We cycled down into Bridlington this morning. The bucket ‘n spade beach & prom and the main town completely lived down to my expectations - very brash, noisy, tatty and tacky.

However, the much quieter North Beach with glorious views towards Flamborough Head was absolutely gorgeous. Similarly, the South Beach with it’s Edwardian buildings was quieter and very attractive. The Old Town is interesting too. Just a horrible little bit in the middle - but even that had a redeeming feature in the form of a proper shellfish shop where we bought crab sandwiches for lunch and some dressed crab to have with pasta tonight 😋

We had to seek shelter from a couple of heavy showers but we have lovely blue skies now so we’ll probably do the short drive to Flamborough Head in a bit. OH is just having a little nanna nap 😏 so I’ll leave him be for a bit.

Hazel - sounds like you’ve had a horrid couple of days. Hope things pick up for you.

Afternoon folks, weather is a bit better today so popped out this morning with Bestie to Webbs Garden Centre.  They had some very lovely large terracota pots on a buy one get one free offer.  I bought 2 large and 2 medium for just over £50, absolute bargain.  Went to buy some barley straw liquid to  clear friends water feature at another local shop and bought a couple of Heuchera's for £4.50 each so all in all a good mornings work.
Eyes are still sore but no worse than yesterday so I'm going to wait unti tomorrow for the appointment booked at the opticians rather than go to A&E.

Afties all. Good grief Hazel, that is not what I expected to hear as you were really looking forward to your trip. A chapter of incidents on your return home too but it seems you have them all under control now. T'Bird, sounds like the weather is as unpredictable as it is here. Never mind. I expect that you have done this before will you be able to visit the Priory and the Bayle museum? Yvie sounds like a good day at the GC - no cake?
Good luck tomorrow at the opticians.

No cake LB.  Cafe not open until tomorrow.  Mind you we had coffee and Belgian chocs when we got back so didn't miss the cake too much.
