It never ceases to amaze me that during an unprecedented global emergency, people still complain as though they could have handled things better.
We’re not supposed to be able to do better, the people we elect are supposed to do a decent job, with the support of qualified and experienced advisers.
There’s no way in hell most politicians could do my job, but that doesn’t stop them having an opinion on it and sticking their noses in constantly. 😉
As I said, sensationalist and boring, and totally irrelevant to the actual lives of people in this country (what effect did his journey directly have on you apart from stoking the fires of faux outrage).
My adult son suffers from depression. His housemate is an alcoholic and also suffers from depression. They are both suffering in this lockdown. My son wants to come home for a weekend to spend some time with me, he is missing me. It was heartbreaking for me to say no to him. He doesn’t understand why someone in power can do what they want and not follow the guidelines or rules. It is making his depression worse! That is what effect it is having!
The trouble is, a lot of these people would normally be in the pubs getting drunk or out shoplifting. these options being unavailable, the only thing they can do to amuse themselves is to drive for an hour to p**s up against your wall. Are those electric fences available to you? Does electric current travel through pee? I dont see why not👺

Now that I agree with.
As for Dominic Cummings, who cares. Seriously. Taken at face value, he was worried about care for his kids. Arguing over him and his actions with hindsight doesn't change anything or improve the situation.
It is blatantly clear it's being used as political point scoring and leverage.
Forget about it. Review it after the important things are under control. Until then, it really doesn't make any difference.

Who cares?
Well just from the people I personally know...
Many many people who couldn’t be with loved ones as they were sick or dying
People who couldn’t go to the funerals of people they care about, or comfort each other in grief
The colleagues of the healthcare workers who have died at the hospital I work at
The first time mum who gave birth alone and is now struggling with PND and a newborn with reflux with no help from her mum, sisters or friends.
My grandma who hasn’t seen her husband since early March, including for their 60th wedding anniversary
The key worker parents who moved out of their homes or sent their children to live elsewhere at the start of lockdown to protect them so they could still do their vital jobs
The doctors and nurses who had to tell dying people why they could only see their family on an iPad screen
The teenagers who have missed their exams but also the rites of passage like the last day of school together and the prom
The couples who weren’t allowed to get married even if one was seriously ill.
My auntie who is very unwell with cancer and can’t spend her precious time with her children and grandchildren
People struggling desperately with loneliness, addiction or mental illness with most of their usual support structures stripped away
The families and carers of people with cognitive impairments, like my neighbours, whose son doesn’t understand why they’ve stopped visiting
Or maybe it’s because New Zealand is headed by a woman.
Or any number of other excuses.
The fact is, Spaffer is the circus master here and we are the performing seals.
And we ain’t happy.
Complete nonsense. It's the equivalent of comparing a grape to water melon. Population density and distribution are major factors whether it suits your argument or not
Pansyface, a bucket of water is useful for chucking at idiots washing areas down. A Hosepipe even better if someone gets wet while you are flushing away the urine. If all else fails, a supersoaker kids water gun is useful for cats as well. Keep well, keep safe. Photographic evidence of men exposing themselves is useful as well. Were they trespassing or is your kitchen right up to the right of way?

That’s just a few.
