Or maybe it’s because New Zealand is headed by a woman.

Or any number of other excuses.

The fact is, Spaffer is the circus master here and we are the performing seals.

    And we ain’t happy.
Complete nonsense. It's the equivalent of comparing a grape to water melon. Population density and distribution are major factors whether it suits your argument or not

    What's next comparison Greenland?
Hong Kong: population 7 million, very high population density. deaths: 4.

If "population density "is so critical : Look at Hong Kong. 5 deaths.

We have 1% of the world population and over 10% of the world's deaths.
Maybe we should be proud of that for some reason?

I'm glad we're allowed to criticise our governments. I wonder how those who complaining about their governments get on in Iran, N. Korea or China ( I give you Hong Kong again )
We should be proud we can count without fear of life changing reprisals, yes.

Oh dear.. And China only has 3000 deaths. Russia has 2k deaths out of 350k cases. 🤔You realy believe any of those statistics??
It's pretty simple realy, the virus transmits by contact, if your society is far more spread out the less people you will come into contact with the less opportunity for transmission

The anolmolies to this is S Korea and Taiwan who have the best public health systems in the world and have experienced Sars before. They were prepared for this outbreak. It is quite clear that vast majoritys of the West barring the Germans were not prepared and tried to apply Influenza pandemic tactics against a different disease

You hand on heart believe the Chinese? If you do it's time for logic and reason to give up

You really think China could suppress it if Hong Kong’s death toll was significantly higher?  Hong Kong is not Beijing.

Amazing to see one person is happy with BoJo's performance during this crisis. Especially when he's the only leader around the world to be infected and nearly die by Covid. So before making pronouncements that somehow this useless government listened to scientists, think about the buffoon in charge was not even sage enough to not catch it in the first place. Absolutely astounding idiocy no matter what your political stance.

Have you not followed the news for the past 5 years? The reasons for the mass civil unrest is because of Chinese interference, censorship, intimidation, people locked up or disappeared without explantion.. I could go on
Again it may be of a surprise but the Chinese are committing a mass genocide of the Uigher population that is virtually unheard of in the west, 100000s of people murdered or put in "correction facilities"
If you chose to either believe anything that comes out of that nation above any western democracy, you need to rethink imo

That is true. And it is odd that given S Korea and Taiwan had been here before, we didn't do more to learn from them. Complacent.

Hong Kong have been protesting for quite a while now and things flared up again on Sunday about the new law China is trying to put into place. If HK has not released correct figures, we would have most certainly have heard about it from the protesters.

China are also trying to prevent Taiwan from sharing their experience on how they managed to avoid this pandemic.

Right, and we know a lot about the civil unrest because, as I said, Hong Kong is not Beijing, no matter how much the regime may want that and be working towards it.

No way on earth could they have entirely suppressed a massive death toll in HK.
