I have been eating rice pudding from the tin!  And I am starting to wonder if a monthly bath might help with the social distancing if I ever get out. There are bits of vermiculite and compost on the library carpet and I don't care.  Actually, come to think of it, things aren't that bad really  :)

I rarely buy vegetables as I am on my own and just eat what I grow, same with herbs but I do buy fruit and I would miss that.  Biggest miss would be ice cream, had no ingredients to make any today which is why I think the awful rice pudding incident occurred.

I’m allergic to most cosmetics and soaps, lotions etc so can happily live without the majority of chemicals. That’s one of the reasons I hate all this hand gel that everyone is so obsessed with using. What I missed most over the last few weeks was definitely the garden centers as buying plants is my real vice and I’ve not had much luck with on line French plant suppliers.

as for ironing I only ever do that if I have an interview..... so probably 4 times in the last 20 years or so.....😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I'm quite happy doing a limited amount of food shopping and mostly staying at home (thank heaven for gardens and the cloud library) but I need to have my hair cut soon or my dear husband may have to get the shears out

My OH cut my hair today ... I wear it short with a bit of a quiff on top ... it started out a bit Jedward and has ended up more Annie Lennox ... it’s not too bad at all and at least we didn’t have to resort to Sinead O’Connor!!! 😆

I could get used to this ... saving £40 every 6 weeks ... think of all those plants I could buy 🙃

I don't think our life has changed that much either. We don't do a lot of socialising and I'm not that keen on holidays. I much prefer long weekends away which we've had to cancel but at least we're not away when the garden's looking it's best right now. I'm loving the time I can devote to gardening and the weather couldn't have been better. Think how much more miserable we'd all have been if it had rained everyday for the last two months. I do miss not being able to see my two children, grandchildren and all my siblings but hopefully it will not be too long now. Our weekly grocery bill seems more expensive - possibly because I keep adding treats but have saved by not buying plants, having haircuts, massages and pedicures.

Oh Annie Lennox, how I love that woman. I've had my hair like that, sometimes black, sometimes blonde.  That was years ago now.

Nothing has changed for me hardly at all, I live as a recluse almost. I don’t go out, I have bought online for years now,  the only thing that’s changed for me is that I have to sit in the online Tesco queue once a week at midnight to get my slot, if it wasn’t for the news or internet media, I wouldn’t know anything was going on.

I am mightily blessed to be able to live here, I thank my dad every day.

We could be self sufficient in veg and fruit but I can’t be bothered now.

I have a monthly outing to our little town to collect meds, cat’s meds and Avon. Sometimes I pop in to see a new internet  friend and have a coffee whilst I’m there.
Apart from that, I’m happy in the garden.

Our life here hasn’t changed much either, easier to say that when you have a garden/land, live in a rural location with scattered houses and a small village. Zero reported infections in our locality but everyone is super careful out and about, maintaining social distance, wearing mask and gloves, even the children who are now allowed out have little masks on. No shortages.

I’m still dog walking and OH still cycling every day. We and our Dutch neighbours are meeting up at social distance for every week or so for evening drinks - and before anyone leaps on that, risk is minuscule to none - we are treating each other as a family bubble and not seeing anyone else. We go to them (3 minutes up a private rural track between them and us) and take our own drinks, glasses, folding chairs and table and sit on opposite sides of their natural pool below their house.

Really miss, but of course can do without, going out to lunch or stopping for a glass of wine on a terrace bar. Lockdown has been easing slowly anyway so we actually did the latter yesterday, it seemed so thrilling and daring!!

Cosmetics, I haven't used for 50 years.  Waste of time and money; if people don't like my natural face, they can look the other way.
Couldn't agree more . The ads for " active lipasones" " pentapeptides" and "hyloranonic acid" " reduces fine lines/ 7 signs of ageing( surely there are more? )  ) make me laugh.
Why are so many woman suckered into buying this stuff?

I could write an essay answering that question for you!  Basically its men's fault, sorry! ;)

I work with mostly women though and its been nice that we're all going grey and giving up on makeup and bras and sobriety together (last two not at work obviously but much discussed!)  A bit rough on the two male nurses in the team occasionally but they cope!
