..it's a dwarf type Lizzie.. there are 3 in that pot, it can be used as a replacement for Box hedging... it's also lime tolerant and does not need acid soil, so a useful new addition..
...well, I'm in love again - my new found affection shows why I like to try different roses, from all sorts of places, including imports... you can find gems amongst them..
...this is 'Jardin des Tuileries'..[Delbard, France 2017].. the scent is wonderful, like being presented with a fresh bowl of fruit... and the foliage is glossy and faultless.. a short floribunda rose that's destined to stay with me.. and bee friendly by the looks of it..
'Lichfield Angel' has blooms so pure and graceful... but I wouldn't recommend this rose to beginners... 'Scepter'd Isle' on the other hand is made for most.. highly scented and the blooms look upwards or facing you...
Love Sceptr'd Isle. I had several in my Belgian garden in a forma front bed with William Shakespeare (nesh) and Gertrude Jekyll and assorted clematis. She's excellent for pegging too. Unfortunately, the cuttings I brought with me didn't take and I haven't found a supplier here.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
'Aquarell'.. this is the 2nd bloom.. the first one lasted 8 days... 'Blush Noisette'.. will need some deadheading soon... 'Vanessa Bell'... just one fabulous Austin for me.. Geranium 'Russell Prichard'... one of those essential Geraniums for a long season... I like fallen rose petals.. I'm going to have masses of them very soon... I would miss this very much if I didn't have any roses...
Your Jardin Des T. looks very nice indeed, I think Aquarell will be going on my bare root list........l think it's a fabulous rose. The Lichfield Angel is a beauty!
Love the form of Jardin des Tuileries, Marlorena. Aquarelle is really growing on me too, which is a bit of a surprise as peachy tones are not my thing, usually.
No sign of rain for you yet? We had a massive deluge yesterday that went on all night and more forecast, all a bit topsy turvy!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Ahh thank you for that, I was just googling and couldn't find a UK retailer, our nurseries don't carry a wide variety of roses or clematis, so I need to buy from UK.
No rain @Nollie ..and none in the forecast even though we're in for cooler conditions... I wouldn't mind but some rain would be good right now... I'm glad you like those roses.. ..also @Mary370 ... oh Ok..... you might also look at the rose called 'Rachel'.. it's the same rose as Aquarell but in a different tone.. perhaps more pink? and less yellow? I like the one I've got though..

Vanessa Bell is looking smashing too, I do like a yellow rose.
