Hazel , I have a water butt at the front of the house . That is sufficient for the front garden which is small . The sun sets on the back garden and when the weather is warm the temperature in the back shoots up . We have walls at both sides of the back garden which holds the heat in .

Flippin typos......Rubee that was meant to say drys soon not 'stay' 🙄
Really hope there's not much damage
Thank you Hazel, it was very strange and I didn't feel that comfortable while out. OH wanted to walk a bit further, but i really wanted to come back home. We'll try again tomorrow and perhaps go a little further.

Take it gently Lily, in this heat . The carpet is still wet Lily  but it’s beginning to dry out . That’s one good thing about this heat . It’s a bit too hot for me though .

Afties all. Well I am thoroughly worn out. I cleaned the fish tank this morning - a three hour job made all the longer because I recycled all the water (16 gallons!) around the garden. It was hard work in the heat and water is heavy! I have stopped for today as I'm finding the heat too much. Its has sapped all my energy
Poor Ruby, I shouldn't have mentioned water. Hope this warm weather dries your dining room carpet quickly. That is the fourth disaster! We had already had three. I think you might have started off another set of three Ruby.
Oh SGL, thank you so much for those gorgeous pictures. They have made my day. Well done for your outing.

    Afternoon everyone,
Thankyou all for your thoughts, school went ok felt a bit weird only a few in at the moment, so it will be a gradual process over the coming days.
Lily Lovely pictures from your walk to the duck pond today, it looked nice and peaceful there. It was a good idea to try it and see how comfortable you both felt,
Rubee Oh no I can’t believe the other hose has split, what a rotten thing to have happen again so soon ☹️
Rosie I hope you’ve had a good day enjoying the bird song,
Hazel Great news your staging is on the way! You’ll be able to pot up your plants without bending to do it perfect,
LB Goodness that’s a lot of water you shifted today a mammoth task to clean out the fish tank, quite handy for the garden but hard work.
I’m feeling tired I think it’s all the build up to today has caught up with me, so I wish you all a pleasant evening and see you in the morning, Goodnight.

Night night Chive. I'm not surprised that you are exhausted. The stress of wondering how today was going to go and the thinking on your feet whilst you were in work. Sleep well. See you tomorrow.
