Morning all, Flipping eck Rubee you really don't seem to be having any luck re water at the moment.  Hope damage is minimal and dries fast.

Thank you Yvie . The dining area carpet is fairly wet. Kitchen is Lino ,that was relatively easy to dry.
We have old towels soaking up the excess in the dining area .Now need to buy a new hose fairly quickly .

Lily this is my second hose that split . I always buy good ones ,working on the premise that they would last longer . The first to split was the newest. The hose  that split this morning I have had for at least ten years ,I guess that’s about as long as I can expect .
Dining room carpet is wet Lily.  Kitchen floor was soon dried up .

I would love an outside tap Hazel .Unfortunately the way the plumbing is configured the pipes would have to run under the landing and bedroom floors and then down the outside wall .That would leave about ten feet of piping exposed to the elements. The cold pipes come into the house through the front wall and into a cupboard and then run vertically into the bathroom .The water pipes then run to the sinks in the house .The floors downstairs are concrete .It is the back garden that gets the most sun and is at the opposite side of the house to the pipes .

Aww, Rubee, hope it stays soon and doesn't stain. Would it be too much to water using watering cans.

We went for a short walk round the duck pound and back home. It was very peaceful, but very strange. We only saw one lady with her dog.

It would Lily . The sun sets at that side of the garden and on very hot days I have to water more than once .. I can use a watering can if the garden just needs a little water .
