Well done Yvie. I still haven't spotted Hazel's shadow men. I can empathise with your OH Ruby, as I research, research, research before buying anything.
Chive, if I don't catch you later on then I am sending you every good wish for tomorrow. Those little people will make it all worth while.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening everyone. Thanks for the little teaser LB - found the cat but no idea about Hazel’s men....
SGL - thought of you when I heard the news about the very slight easing of restrictions for shielders. Hopefully you’ll be able to walk to the duck pond again this week.Â
Hazel - it’s tough not seeing your mum. We’re the same with MIL (350 mile round trip). We have done it as a day trip on a couple of occasions but it’s a bit of a killer.Â
Nice to see you Chey.
Had a bit of a rubbish day. Think my iMac has finally died. It’s 11 years old (so it doesn’t really owe me anything and I was able to run the latest OS’s on it until last year) but it’s rather irritating none the less. Just hoping that the back up I did about 10 days ago was done properly and I haven’t lost too much data. After spending ALL day trying all sorts of increasingly complicated things to resurrect it I’ve given in and ordered a new one. ££££
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hazel, Chive yes it was really lovely of our Dil, I am very lucky with both girls, we get on really well. Thank you Topbird, yes we'll probably walk as far as the duck pond and hopefully sit on the bench there for awhile without to many other people about. We will take things slowly, baby steps....not in any rush to go far. To be honest I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about going out at the moment. Certainly not bothered about shops. Still can't find the shadows Hazel, possibly one....but think its just the roof.
Evening T'Bird. Well done on finding the cat. I was useless! I was looking for a complete cat - not just a face. Thats my excuse and I'm going to stick to it! (Nah, I was rubbish!) I can't do those magic eye pictures either and they are a frequent addition to the picture round in our pub quizzes. You have been doing what I am doing at the moment - researching a replacement device. My laptop is showing signs of temperament. The 'g' button has been loose for ages and occasionally it doesn't appear at all in words I have typed. I have to proof read carefully and insert 'g' where necessary. I am proper fussy about the kind of laptop I require. Primarily I want one with a UK QWERTY keyboard and as I need a gaming laptop, it has to have the numeric keyboard on the right hand side as well. I obviously have to do more research!
