I have a solar fountain in the bird bath and it seems to attract the birds. I had the issue with it going too high and emptying bath so I made one big hole and it just trickles out now, less effective but I love the sound and it’s better than having to constantly top it up. The bees love the little fountain on the allotment too, it seems to draw their attention to the fresh water.

Afternoon Everyone, thank you all for your kind comments on my Elder, it nicely screens the view of houses behind us and the flowers are a lovely show each year the birds love it. I think when I joined you all last year it had just finished.
Lily I’m pleased you slept better last night, you must have been shattered after such an early alarm call. Good news you finally received some frozen peas in your delivery, the caster sugar was missing in the SM this week for some reason,
LB That is another very pretty Clematis, you have some gorgeous flowers in your garden must be lots of colour. If memory serves you have Sambucus Black Lace?, I think they are very attractive, as a large shrub some of the depth of colour has gone from the foliage on mine,
Rosie have you been for a walk today? I hope you are keeping well,
Rubee I hope your parcel has arrived safely today,
Debs Are you pleased with how your shady border is looking now?, it sounds like you are having a good sort out,
Hazel Sounds like you’ve had a productive day in the garden, with interspersed breaks that’s very sensible. This weather is just perfect for drying wet things isn’t it 😀
Tui that looks lovely 😊 It’s a very pretty pond you have there,
Sorry it’s turned into a lengthy post, enough reading time to enjoy a cuppa ☕️

A also ordered a bird bath solar fountain.  My OH has cut a tree stump level to place a bath on top of that.  Apparently delivery is not until early July so pending....
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

I have to say Tui and Debs, that having come in from a steamy hot garden (I'm finished for today!), how refreshing it is to see your water features. They made me feel quite cool! I am happily shattered having done all of today's jobs. SGL, so pleased you finally got your frozen peas! I've got a delivery from 'sco coming tomorrow afternoon between 16:00 and 18:00. I do not have frozen peas on the list though.
p.s. meant to say Chive, yes I have got Sambucus Black Lace. Its flowers are about to open.

Heavens, its a good job 'sco just texted me. Apparently my delivery is not when I thought it was but is between 15:00 and 16:00. I think I'm losing the plot At least I can make sure I'm around to receive it rather than being down the garden and filthy!

@Chivetalking it’s just an old concrete bird bath that came from my youngest daughter’s garden. I have found that since I put the fountain in the birds are much happier to use it, It seems to attract them.

Good idea I really like it Debs it has that wonderful aged look and with the fountain that makes it a real feature, the birds have their own shower I bet they do enjoy it.
