it’s a beautiful morning ... I’ve been watching the sunrise over the sea on the Sheringham webcam and listening to the gentle pulse of the waves ... then I had a wander around the garden while the kettle boiled. All seems well ... everything’s growing (especially the chickweed in the veg patch 🙄) and all the seedlings I pricked out yesterday seem happy.
Plans for today include preparing a teepee for the runner beans, putting up canes and planting out the sweet peas, baking bread, roasting a small piece of pork etc, and ......... waging war on the chickweed 🥊
I’ll be ably assisted by the Under Gardener ... I slept well without painkillers and my neck/shoulder feels good this morning, with just a slight twinge if I move ‘wrongly’ ... a friend who has some ‘neck problems’ has sent me her exercises to strengthen my neck muscles so I’m working on those and OH is determined that I’ll be better before he is ‘un-furloughed’ ... so I’m not allowed to do heavy or awkward stuff ... apparently ‘heavy’ includes carrying a full watering can 🙄

Morning @Hostafan1. I was awake - youngest fairylet start at half five, and I don't really get back to sleep. Might go out soon for my walk as the rain's off anyway. Hope there's not too many twuts out for you.....who am I kidding?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I hate keeping on asking for help @Fairygirl ... “can you just...”. He’s so good and never rolls his eyes or looks moody about it and is actually pre-empting me a lot of the time and spotting what help I’m going to need and doing it before I ask .... I’m very lucky ... but I’m an independent so-and-so and find it hard 🙄

The other one is on at 9 @Hostafan1. I expect there will be the usual 'people' .Reminds me of the great Lena Lamont quote in Singin in the Rain "People? I ain't people" . I think it's rather appropriate in this area I find it hard too @Dovefromabove. Always have. What are we like eh?

Glad you're feeling a bit better @Dovefromabove don't go over doing it! Agapanthus @Hostafan1 I adore them, I've got 2 in my terrace garden, 2nd year now, I'm hoping for a good show this year.
Lovely and sunny here the garden is calling, but there's talk of restaurants being allowed to open possibly in June so I ought to be doing some menu writing - I'm planning on using a digital app so people can order and pay in advance if they want and use the menus on their phone in the Tearoom. All to help with social distancing; less contact with things other people have touched, less time in the meet & greet area - order & pay in advance, come at appropriate time, sit at the socially distanced table and a masked waitress brings you your order. Hopefully it'll reassure people and encourage them to come. It sounds an awful scenario to me, but if it means we get customers it'll help. It just means writing up the menu in detail to fit into the app. And still nothing definite about a date so the motivation is not quite there. I might do gardening this morning whilst it's nice and do the typing later....or tomorrow 🙄🤭
Good day to all, hope the frosts have abated.
😘
Forgot to press post again, or missed the button, this was from yesterday or maybe even the day before, it's all a blur

I think carrying a mug of coffee is enough load bearing for now
