I was woken up this morning by baaing in the street. A young ram was happily munching the neighbour's ivy. It didn't seem to fancy rowan for breakfast though.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
The only difference I’ve noticed with tesco delivery is that I still can’t get homepride flour, I’ve had a slot every week as I always have and the order has been complete, odd substitute buy nothing needed rejecting. Daughter has been using Asda delivery, gets a slot for the next day and everything there, including my flour. It must be a regional thing I suppose.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
I have no transport so have been relying on others and home deliveries. Waitrose has been brilliant but until they allocated me priority it was difficult to get a slot so I tried Sainsburys. Well!
The delivery didn't turn up, they locked my account and this morning they emailed to tell me "After further investigation and review of your order and account, your account will remain closed as per terms and conditions"
The Ts&Cs just say they have sole discretion to terminate. No idea what I've done/not done or why, so bye bye Sainsburys

I was just about to say that l have had no problem with Sainsburys click and collect (l forgot this was the curmudgeonly thread 🙄). Even the substitutions have been of the sensible variety. My only gripe would be the number of carrier bags they use - one packet of red chillies in solitary splendour. However l now have enough small bin liners to keep me going for some considerable time.
Click and Collect from Tesco is useless here in Mid Devon. The alternatives are Exeter (about 30 minutes away) or . . . Penarth! For the geographically challenged, Penarth is in South Wales. I should know - I lived there for a while after graduating and my company sent me on a special project! Penarth can be reached from here via the M5 to Bristol and then M4 via Cardiff. As the crow (or in this case, seagull) flies over the Bristol channel - it's probably a bit closer.
There is no SM delivery service here and I have never used Click and Collect and hope I never need it. Since lockdown I have made one weekly visit to the SM which has been fine as people have, in general, observed the rules about distancing and so on. The only worry was that, at the beginning, it was a 65km round trip because heavy rains in February had washed away a bridge on the usual 40km route.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

We're getting used to Sainsbury's deliveries and may even continue after lockdown's over. Beats fighting for a carpark space, pushing a trolley around for an hour and packing the stuff. Apart from a couple of rather odd substitutions, they've been very good and most of the delivery drivers have been very polite and helpful, even after pushing a trolley full of shopping up our long steep drive! Might even walk down and meet them next week as we've got 6 bottles wine coming on their special offer.

Surely you can control yourself until they push the trolley up the drive. How will it look if they only time you help is when it's loaded with booze?
