When people here then sit outside on those long balmy summer evenings (that typically occur between June 21st and 22nd), what do they do for light? Candles? Oil burning thingies?
We also bought a few 'stone' garden 'creatures' - two hedgehogs, a snail and a tortoise - kids used to enjoy painting them garish colours. The tortoise is the summer whirly clothes line thingy 'hole' cover. The summer whirly hole is on the grass, and in winter, it used to get 'lost' (The Lost Hole Of Whirlygig). Now (apart from when the foxes move it) the tortoise points the way. Actually, they all need repainting - shame the slave labour has grown up....
I have adblock so no ads on FB which I use for messaging Possum and one or two distant friends. Used to use it a lot for private groups to share info and videos for the various dance club groups in Belgium.
Even if it were true I wouldn't want a blue rose. I find the insipid and/or muddy lilac ones disturbing enough.

I know people are saying that times are stressful right now and they're having a really hard time of it but have they ever had to supervise a toddler eating an icecream? He spends five minutes just looking at it and smiling, maybe touching it with the tip of his tongue now and then, and all the while it's gradually melting to the point where you know it's inevitable that it will end up on the floor. The only thing dripping faster than the icecream is the dog's drool as he anticipates the clean up job.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
My nark of the day comes from my neighbour's side; the gardener has been and cut her hedges so my new large planters are now full of all the hedge clippings, tiny leaves everywhere covering the whole thing along with mini branches. I'd only cleaned it out of all the fallen leaves from our tree in the morning!

I wonder how many queries we'll get on the forum after folk buy them, and then find they've been cultivating a weed.
