Nothing much to do in the garden at the moment. Never thought I'd see the day! A few brambles and woundwort at the back of the borders but I'd do too much damage getting at them. The clay is rock solid so I couldn't do much even if I wanted to.
Further to my post re people not bothering to observe social distancing, my daughter informed me they had a customer wearing one of these today. I immediately said ' did you ask him where he got it?' For anyone not familiar with Jack and Victor/Still Game [a National Institution here] it will go over your head, but it's still worth getting
Many moons ago I was walking on the footpath outside a row of shops when someone behind me yelled "Get out of my F***ing way". I half turned and saw a cyclist behind me. As he forced his way past I just dropped my shoulder slightly and knocked him off the path into the parking bays. Sadly he lost his balance and ended in a heap on the ground. His language didn't improve though.
Some people are simply hideous @KT53 You should get one of those t shirts ... I've just ordered one
It's the ones who ride three abreast too- having a chat - how is that acceptable? Or the ones who just sail into the middle of the road in front of you to turn right - without any signals.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Damn cyclists, damn joggers, damn those that drop litter, especially those dog walkers that don't pick up. Damn those entitled people walking on my lawn. I despair!
That's pretty much all the moaning from the village.
You don't hear so much about those damn car owners, waffling away on their mobiles, speeding, knocking people off their bikes, killing pedestrians etc etc. It's all a little skewed!
Cyclists are more visible so get stick, I don't drive, and it's a 4/5 mile cycle to the shops. Part of it involves a bridleway, which has been far busier than usual. I'm also a pedestrian, and get cheesed off like everyone else when I'm expected to dive into a bush so a family of four can fly by while they are jollying. TBH I'd rather be on the road, but then I wouldn't be here to tell this moribund tale.
Yes - but other people using the roads - cars and motorbikes for example - have to display a registration for a start. Cyclists don't. Why not? I should be able to report them when they pull a stupid stunt, but I can't. They aren't always visible either, if the ones that ride around here regularly are anything to go by. Dressed head to toe in black, with no lights on dull wet days. Weaving in and out and up on pavements and through red lights. I see it all the time.
The car drivers who drive like ****wits are every bit as bad, absolutely without doubt, but at least there's some accountability when they behave like ****wits. The ones I experienced a couple of days ago are a classic example.
Absolutely no excuse for the kind of behaviour that @KT53 has described though
