Morning all. Ā LB good news about your car and happy VE Day celebrations. Ā I will certainly be raising a glass to celebrate. Ā Chive it’s lovely that you can have face time with mum regularly. Ā Hazel wishing you a good day and it’s good to talk on the telephone. Ā Whatever means we have is important. Ā Morning Lily we best make the most of the days before a cold spell perhaps. Ā Ante what a beautiful rose, really lovely.

Hello Rosie. Stood at the end of my drive for the 2 minutes silence this morning and over-the-road neighbours were out too. It was quite moving. SGL, the sun hasn't even got out here yet (its trying hard) and it is a wee bit chilly.
Some good news, Chey is coming out of hospital today, he asked me to let you all know as he was grateful for your good wishes, he may not be able to post for a few days as he feels very tired. My cut and come again lettuce are looking a wee bit bigger today but only big enough to make a salad for a greenfly!

Had to pop out this morning to drop off a few essentials to a friend.Ā  Drove down a street having a party.Ā  One garden had loudspeakers playing music and virtually every house was in the front garden eating a drinking.Ā  All the houses were decorated and everyone seemed to be having a lovely time while observing all the distancing rules.

How very nice Yviestevie. Such a shame for people who had planned today well in advance not knowing what was to befall us.

    Afternoon everyone,
LB that is really good news about Chey, I hope that he makes a good recovery. We had a front garden/street party, it was a really nice afternoon everyone able to talk and keep within a safe distance from one another.Ā
    I hope you’ve all had a nice day.Ā

What a beautiful day it turned out to be this afternoon.Ā
How lovely Chive, being able to chat to your neighbours.Ā
Good that Chey is feeling much better. Take care.
Very quiet on here today. Every one must have been in their gardensĀ

I got a surprise invite when I was doing the 2 minute silence at the end of my drive this morning. Neighbour across the road invited me for a Prosecco party at 16:00. There were only 5 of us on her big drive, sitting in the sun at correct distance and listening to Vera Lynn songs.Ā  We all had our own glasses. It was lovely and so nice to actually speak 'live' and see facial expressions.Ā  Really enjoyed it. Lots of people passed by and waved and shouted and cars tooted their horns as they went passed.
