Morning everyone, Sunny here this morning too, but still a chilly breeze. Can't believe it's the weekend again either LB, the weeks are going so quickly. I know we all want this awful time to go, but I don't want the months to whizz by either......if thst makes sense 😂 I hope Chive comes back too, or at least pop in now and then. So many have left this thread over the past few months. RB if you're peeking in, my very best wishes to you and I hope you're well x No idea what we're doing today, but I think we're probably stay in today.😉🤣 Have a good day everyone, take care.
Good morning . The days are passing too quickly ,far too quickly .I do hope that Chive comes back . I have a parcel in the porch waiting to be opened . Could be my new plant pots . Since the lock down I have got quite excited about the arrival of parcels .I think I will stay in too Lily☺️.Have a good day .
Morning SGL and Ruby. Ooh parcels, you will have to let us know what you've got Ruby. Just being nosey here! I'm about to go out and sort things. See you all later and the quiz will be later on.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
That sounds very nice Ruby. I've been working in the garden all morning and I'm in for a drink. It's lovely and warm but dark clouds have appeared so it may rain again today I've got two large tubs ready for my patio peas to get sown into this afternoon and then I may call it a day. I think I rather overdid things yesterday and that is why I was so tired. Birds are sorted, Lily's sorted and there is just me to get sorted now.

Afternoon everyone - good drying day here so Lily's TV has been busy...
I'm so sorry to read that Chive has left us so suddenly - she was definitely an important member of our little group and will be much missed. If something has happened within the family I send my very best wishes to you and hope you feel able to come back and join us at some stage. Several members do take a bit of time out every now and again when things get too much - but that's ok - we'll still be here in the future.
Just found out that my nephew-in-law is redeploying the laser cutting machines used in his craft business for making perspex face shields to donate to hospitals and care homes in the Selby / York area. Good man!🙂 Just sent him a donation to help purchase materials.
Busy with accounts and other paperwork yesterday. Will be nice to get them just about finished today and ready for 3 tax returns....
Thought about a little shopping visit to Norwich today - you know, mooch round the market and some little specialist shops I know. Then a spot of lunch in one of the bistros. Maybe afternoon tea in one of the many tea rooms. Perhaps a wander round one of the museums or art galleries.
But then I thought "No! - let's stay in - change the bed and check off the credit card statements - that's much more interesting and so much more fun to do!!"🤨🤭
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I was thinking the same @Topbird quite fancied a walk along the beach and eating fish and chips while watching the waves roll in. Then perhaps a 99 walking along the pier. But then rememberd it was Saturday and how busy the roads would be. Plus there's a very chilly breeze, so I changed my mind too and stayed indoors. 😉🤣🤣 Always tomorrow 😉
Lily - fish and chips sounds lovely - I have had a constant craving for them for the last 2 weeks. Don't usually have them that often but, because I CAN'T have them (no phone & collect service here) I really, really want them!
It could be a nice day tomorrow. Shall we all meet up at a pretty, old fashioned pub (central for all of us) and indulge in a lovely big Sunday roast cooked by somebody else? LB could bring one of her quizzes along to test us as we follollop afterwards in the dappled shade of an old oak tree😎.
Somewhere by the water would be nice...
But you're quite right of course - the roads will be busy and it'll be a nightmare trying to park if it's a good place😉
Maybe midweek...

Hello Hazel and T'Bird. I love the idea of a meet up for a big Sunday roast, and for a mid week meet up for fish and chips, T'Bird you started my craving for those when you mentioned them the other day. It would have to be something salted caramel for dessert for me SGL. Ooh just remembered, car is dead. I'll have to come down the tunnel to one of you instead and cadge a lift. Off to plant my peas now so I'll catch up later. Mmmmm fish and chips:
