    It's dunnock central here @herbaceous.
They're always very 'frisky' - and not just at this time of year  :D
Lots of sparrows here too. I  love it when they bring their babies into the garden.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I love the smaller birds. The Black Bird used to be my favourite but after a Starling stood up to some Careilion Crows, they are now my favourite.

What happened was the Starlings were feeding and the Crows came into the garden and all the birds Scarpered. A couple of the starlings perched nearby. One brave one few down to the feeder, could not get near the food wo he pushed himself by two Crows and flapped his wings. The crows flew off and all the Starlings came back along with the Black Bird who was feeding on the ground. He was definitely the hero.

We get an array of birds. Lots of House Sparrowe, Blackbirds, one Robin and different tits who some Newt in our Bat Box.

Wow! Parakeets. They are lovely to look at but heard they can be a nightmare. They are Spreading across the UK aren't they?

The birds that are not welcome in our garden is Seaguls.

I like to see any birds in the garden except feral pigeons and seagulls.

Its a bit like getting a new car @Fairygirl, once I knew they weren't sparrows I started seeing them everywhere  :D I suppose as a child I assumed the book had all the birds in it!

You are truly blessed @jamesholt to have hummingbirds so close. I just loved sitting and watching them for ages when I stayed with my brother. So delicate and quick.

We have been in this house for 5 years now , and I love the garden birds. I first made friends with a male robin ( like others it followed me around while I gardened) I found after a couple of months if I whistled and called robbie he came to be fed ( no never hand fed) this happened for 18 months and then he must have died.
I am now on my third male Robin, all will come to me if I call ( within arms reach but never hand fed) The reason I say male is because for the last two years he has brought the mrs and babies to eat at the feeder,  and because of their chest markings I'm nearly sure they are the sons of the first.😁

We get all sorts plus those passing through. I had a black redstart here for a day last year, but of the regulars I like to see the wrens, bluetits and thrushes. We also get a range of warblers but they're hard to tell apart.

I have a bird song recognition app and it heard the cuckoo yesterday early morning and later I heard it myself. Think that's quite early.

Ooh a bird song app sounds interesting @Bijdezee

Will have to look at getting one of those on my phone as I often wonder who is having a sing song

this goose got here about two weeks ago.  We now have two pairs.  sorry for the poor quality photo.  This is a purple martin that arrived two weeks ago.  The male is so dark purple it looks black.  They are totally dependant on humans for a house.  Trying to get pictures of our hummers.  Seeing lots of them but they arrived about a week ago and arent used to me yet and fly off.

I don't know about attract,  but the sparrow hawk made an appearance this afternoon.  Frightened off all the birds, but it didn't take long for the Wren to come back and continue to build its nest in the blue tit box.😁

All welcome except maybe the Jays, which make an enormous racket and bully the other birds. Some of my favourites are the Nuthatches, Sub Alpine Warblers and Cirl Buntings, but, although they don’t nest here, love it when the Bee Eaters are flying overhead and the sun catches their brilliant colours.
