Courgettes went outside for the first time today, I keep going out and looking at them just to check they are OK  :D

First early spuds are showing nicely in the veg plot, also have a couple of second earlies poking up. Several rows of lettuce and a row of radish up as well.

This week brown onion sets need to go in, will be working on creating a strawberry bed so I can get the potted strawberries in the picture in. Need to sow more carrots, radish and lettuce, also want to do the first row of beetroot.

    Busy but fun times!

Great thread Tinpot 👍.  Nice to see others progress growing edibles for the garden, lots of lovely plant photos from everyone. 😀

I try to grow a little bit in my small urban garden every year.
Some pics of my efforts so far....

Toms in the greenhouse. Sungold and Minibel. Also have Tumbling Tom on another shelf.

Just 2 courgette plants, Astia & Gold Rush.

Chillis & peppers out sunbathing this morning. 🌞
They 'live' in the conservatory usually.

My new addition this year is this bargain pop up trug (only £2 in wilko silly sales last autumn). I've put it by the back door and potted up with salad crops for easy pickings. Little Gem lettuce, French Breakfast radishes and spring onions. A second sowing is on the go in a module tray in the greenhouse.

Also have a couple of Diva cucumbers living up to their name in the conservatory. Mangetout just sprouting, french beans planted yesterday and assorted herbs on a shelf by the salad trug.
My OH's pea army is growing strong in 9 mushroom trays full of loo rolls on the windowsill, and he also has a pumpkin plant, despite saying "never again" cause the last one was humongous. 😲

Happy growing to all you Diggers 🌱😀.

oooh, look at those! Need a round of applause emoticon thingy.

I checked mine the day after I put them in, knowing full well it would be nearer to three weeks before they would show.  :D

I gave up my allotment due to hubby’s health and turned over the bottom of the garden to raised beds. Took some time but I have pointy cabbage, kale, swede, broad beans, broccoli already a foot high. I live near Doncaster so I didn’t put french beans in until this week but they are going great guns. Having a greenhouse has helped. Only drawback pigeons which are feed by some daft old woman in the next street. They keep trying to stop over for a quick feed so I have to net everything. Am thinking of making a large net cage during the winter as I can’t be bothered to fight with bits of green net and canes as I do now. Any advice on perennials for the front garden beds please? It is in sun all day and very dry.

My radishes are probably ready to pick already! I think I have some more seeds so may sow more.
Keep an eye 👁 on the forecast folks, as frosts possible for the next few nights 🌱

Shallots are doing very well, onions a little behind, poratoes may need earthing up soon.

I seeded some carrots and pak choi, and immediately forgot which tub Id put them in!

These came up within days, any idea which they are most likely to be?

I'd guess at pak choi, carrots have a finer foilage.
Nice progress pics Joe, and lovely to see little hands getting involved. 😀

My youngest is growing more radishes and is very excited to see her seeds sprouting....
    She's 20 😂

My Grandson (fussy eater!) phoned to say he has eaten his own homegrown radishes! Mind you they weren't just radishes  :)
