Well done Obelixx, 4kg thats amazing.  When Im stressed, I cant eat, my gut closes down I feel sick, have never understood how people can comfort eat.  I had a melt down last night.  Hubbies boss is retiring on the 31st,  I make cakes every week for Hubby to take to work, was assigned job of making his cake, with a golf theme. The 13th was his leaving do in a pub near where they all work, Hubby asked certain Service receptionist about bringing the cake she was adamant she wanted it for the 31st.  Hubby and I have been having rows over the decoration.  I said to him, you ************do it then I im not a professional cakemaker, cant buy certain items or cost price, so I had a golfer, with his name and letters made, spent about £50 so far, icing, marzepan, the decoration, already had flour, sugar, got eggs with great difficulty. Was going to make the cake yesterday, (Hubby is working on delivery lorries at the moment considered essential work, while the spares last) he told me not to bother,  firstly, to make it in the future, then to give him the golfing figure, he would take it to work.

Up working till midnight did the cake.  Hubby came home from work in a foul mood, partly said receptionist was bought a Birthday card by the boss, NO_ONE else has ever got so much as a card!! and they dont seem to know if people will actually get paid IF they go to work!, How mad is that, you will get sick pay if you are ill, (come on we know who will be swinging the lead) Hubby is old skool, has a long comute nearly 80 mile round trip. Hope they like the cake!!

Dandelion root goes very well in beef and barley stew.

That’s good to know @HouseFinch ... but those pictures are of daffodils ... did you think they were dandelions ... it’s not good to put daffodil bulbs in your stew! 🤢

The bad news:  50 car owners in my neighbourhood had their tyres slashed overnight.  The police have two young men in custody.

The good news:  A local car dealer has offered to lend five cars free of charge to key workers whose cars have been vandalised.
