This may have been covered already, but one positive thing I am seeing is that people are waking up to the importance of local independent shops.
- Less far to travel, smaller, fewer people so less risky - Often able to deliver locally, much faster than the supermarkets - Seem able to keep up with demand more readily (I haven't seen any of my local grocers looking totally depleted) - You're supporting an actual family in your neighbourhood, an employer who knows his staff and customers - Money is invested in your own neighbourhood, not siphoned off to shareholders
