It was nice to hear that your Mum is coping well Chive. My handy brother checks on his elderly neighbours in a somewhat similar way. He stands in their yard and speaks through the open back door. They seem to be doing well at present.
Thinking of T'Bird and all others in the quiet corner.

All scrubbed and polished and guess what? Its RAINING here. Grrrrr. Aaah well that puts a stop to any thoughts of gardening until later. I'm glad I got my bins out last night.
Chive, its starlings in my garden. The bird feeders need filling but I'm leaving that job until the rain stops. Mr P is cronking away in the back garden and I watched a kestrel struggling with the wind earlier on. The Mrs Ps may be busy elsewhere.

I've just received an email from my brother in Australia. They have now had restrictions placed on their movements similar to ours. He is still working and has to navigate a police check point on his outward and inward journeys. Cross regional travel has been banned but the road he travels on passes through a sliver of the Wheatbelt region - just outside of the Perth region where he lives - hence the police check points. He and his wife had just had their flu jabs so at least that is one thing to help. He has also acquired 6 chickens so won't be short of eggs and his garden is full of lettuces still.

I'm  dressed, but need another cup of tea.
    I'll be back soon.....😘

Lily I’m glad you managed to get some sleep.  Ihopeyou have a better rest tonight.  LB I hope the flu jabs help with your brother and his wife.  I wonder if they’ll soon have a lockdown.  Chive it’s really good that you and mum can keep in regular contact it stops us going stir crazy for a while.  I’ve been in touch with my sister and she gets rather claustrophobic and is finding the restrictions difficult but she managed to have a walk and get some fresh air.😷

Very quiet on here today, we must all be busy bees.
Thank you Rosie, hope you're feeling better today.
Turned very chilly this afternoon. Lovely blue skies, but a definite nip in the air brrrrrr
Just heard Eddie Large has died. He was in hospital with a heart condition and caught the corona virus.  So very sad for his friends and family.

Chive what a good idea playing family scrabble.  LB it’s been quite wild outside today.  Lily yes it is very sad Eddie Large contracting cv.  I heard it on the bbc this morning.  The sun is shining just now after quite a windy day.

Afties all. I've been busy just pottering. I don't know where the time went. Yes SGL, that was sad news about Eddie Large. He and Syd Little use to make me laugh. Rosie, the sun came out here about half an hour ago but it is too cold in the wind to work comfortably outside. I'm in now for the rest of the day. Chive, my heating has kicked in.
