Glad to hear that your sister has perked up Debs. That big potting bench will be a good place to put 'stuff'. I'm signing out now. See you all tomorrow.

Hazel I love looking atyourDaffodil icon it’s so cheerful.  LB a lovely picture from an interesting angle.  Debs I’m glad your sisters on the mend.  Chivei hope you have a good day outin the garden in the fresh air.  Nel will be enjoying the extra attention bless her.  I received a letter yesterday to cancel my mri scan previously due to take place at the end of this month.  I was rather expecting it after what the cmo Mr Whitty had said and they referred to him in the correspondence.

Afties all. Well I am blown to blazes. The wind here has been very wild. I got my flyscreen curtains up at the back by the stable door I have but their contant banging on the door has nearly driven me demented. As long as the back door is closed I have clipped the four netting strips together which has reduced the noise somewhat. I've had to do a fair amount of watering as my troughs and tubs had got quite dry and the plants were definitely drooping.
Rellies are all fine - enjoying their gardening. Sis and bro-in-law have got their new decking down - having ripped up the old stuff last week - and sis was putting the first oil coating on it this p.m. She likes to get down to do the first coat rather than use a long handled brush. She and her OH will probably jump in the hot tub next! That is not my idea of fun I have to say! Great for all their grandchildren though.
Chive I have a pot similar to yours but mine is empty at the moment. That is a stunning picture and the anemones are such a perfect match to the pot colour. The pop of colour from the tulips is just divine! Gorgeous.
I would not have enjoyed painting anything outside in the wind here. I would have been splattered. Rosie, as you said, you were expecting your scan to be cancelled because of the Covid-19 situation. I do hope that they get one for you in the not too distant future.
Debs, Have you managed to get your new strawberry plants put into your allotment and Ante, have you managed to get the last half of the onions in?

Afternoon everybody and thank you for your good wishes - much appreciated.

Rubee - a belated Happy Anniversary for yesterday - 56 years is quite an achievement!

Sounds like everybody has been busy, busy, busy in their gardens etc. Me too!

First coat of paint on the shed yesterday and second (final) coat today. Made the mistake of brushing down the odd cobweb inside the shed. Next thing - the contents of the shed are all over the lawn. Shed is now tidy, not exactly clean - but as clean as a shed needs to be - and it all looks much more orderly. Just need to get a bit of paint off the windows and clean the algae off them. Maybe in a day or two...

OH and his mum have been clearing out FIL's shed (apparently a box of tools is on it's way to me in case there's anything I want) and making 'arrangements'. Not that there's much to arrange... Maximum of 10 mourners - close family only and half a chance the crem will reduce that number to 5 over the next week. Everybody to sit 2m apart, own cars for transport, absolute maximum of 20 minutes in the crem, no hymns, no touching the coffin, no wake, no shaking hands with anybody. And it's at quarter past nine - never known a funeral so early in the day. Will seem very  strange.

My best friend in Surrey is burying her dad on the same day - he had a fall as well 🙄- so we're supporting each other (remotely of course) and exchanging details of the various 'measures' in place. They can only have 5 mourners. Her mum's funeral was in the New Year and (you may recall) was a well atttended, full blown party affair. All very different now.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Top bird those were the rules at my FILs funeral but they were not followed lots of hugging and comforting tearful family then back to one house for tea and biscuits all wrong I know but when a 12 year old girl is sobbing how can her mother just sit there? We are planning a family party in the summer to celebrate his life maybe doing something similar would be a comfort to you all.
