Afternoon! Had to go out to the pharmacy, my friend who usually goes has sprained her ankle badly!

Saw almost nobody, and in the pharmacy we stood 3m apart - one man was in looking for Paracetamol plus for his elderly parents but they didn't have any thanks to the panic buyers. He got quite upset, I really felt for him

What a gorgeous day it is out there! Really very warm in the sun. Somebody needs to tell 'my' robin about social distancing - he was really enjoying digging out the worms as I weeded a border.😁 Has everyone else been outside too?

Feeling much more comfortable today - the antibiotics kicked in very quickly. A week's worth to take so should be well sorted by then.

Afties Chey and T'Bird. Gorgeous day! Great in the garden. I've managed to get a click and collect slot at 'sco for next Monday afternoon 16:00 - 18:00. Never done that before and not really sure what I do when I go to pick up but someone will tell me I'm sure. My Dentist called to cancel my appointment next month and suggested making a provisional appointment for 4th May. I agreed but when I went to look at my calendar it turns out that May the Fourth (be with you!) is Spring Bank Holiday! I called the Dentist back, got no reply so left appropriate message on the answer phone. Within two minutes I was called back and the appointment was re-arranged once more.
Blackbirds have been bathing furiously in the bird bath out front. I picked my first rhubarb of the year and made a crumble with it. Delicious!
Chey, I'm glad that you got to the pharmacy OK and T'Bird - sweet relief as the medication kicked in. Hello to everyone else and those sitting in the quiet corner.

Just back from visit to chemist mainly people standing 2 metres apart waiting outside.  Wait was about 40 mins all in.  Relatives also going in to collect meds for elderly as deliveries not being made now.  Not all acknowledging queue.  Relieved to get back.  Most good natured.  LB how lovely a satisfying crumble.  Enjoy.  Topbird I’m glad to hear your on the mend and the antibiotics are kicking in.  Hazel you can enjoy less extensive painting.

Just take a look at what some idiotic people have done:
    I am stunned.

LB May 4th is not spring bank holiday. The bank holiday has been put back to the 8th of May this year to  coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE day.

Thanks for that info Pauline. Pity the calendar producers weren't informed At least my re-arranged appointment wasn't re-arranged to the 8th!

Some calendars and diaries were printed before the decision to change the date was announced.  They are just too tight fisted to give us an extra bank holiday.

Well it may not even happen anyway unfortunately.
