Morning - a lovely sunny but rather crisp day here.

Crumbs LB - we both enjoy a good murder, mystery - but definitely on the pages of a book or on the TV - not just up the road. It’s very sobering when one happens close by and brings the horror of violence into sharp focus.

Debs - I hope your working day goes ok and people take a second to smile and say Thank You. We’re all feeling a tad stressed right now but it doesn’t take much to make the world a nicer place.

Hope the rest of you have a lovely day - in your garden, watching TV, whatever.

Latest news from Yorkshire is that FIL should be transferred to a hospice this morning. We’re hoping that will be a quieter and less frenetic environment for him than a city hospital and it will be a slightly easier journey for MIL.

T Bird , stay strong . I know how stressful your situation is . My MIL was in hospital for several weeks and the family kept vigil round the clock . Very  very tiring .

Morning Hazel, Ruby, Chive and T'Bird. Messages a bit out of sync again. Enjoy building the greenhouse Hazel, my handy brother and I built mine. It was great fun. Chive, I hope that you get what you need for yourself and your Mum whilst you are out shopping. T'Bird, these difficult times are made all the more stressful by the frailty of your FIL. Sending up kind thoughts for you and yours.

Debs thank you for your endeavours you are appreciated.  Topbird it’s good when fil is transferred to hospice and hopefully better environment.  I do feel for you and how tiring it is.  Hope you are sleeping.  LB quite an uncomfortable feeling something so close to home.  I hope you are okay.  Chive frost is a surprise after the sunshine but they did say it was getting cooler.    I’ve been pottering and just having a cup of tea.

    ASDA have emailed:

Over half my shop won't be arriving. Nothing tinned or jarred! At least bread and cheese is still arriving, as are some ready meals and pasta.

Cereal, milk, squash and, impressively, chicken breast are all still coming - and my birthday cheesecake!

I've miraculously managed to get a delivery from Iceland TOMORROW! Mind blown.

Of course, who knows what will actually turn up!
