Another domestic averted. I suggested my wife needs to get baking bread to see us through these tough times. She suggested I should bake my own bloody bread and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. So we had freshly baked bread with our dinner and I've put the rest out of the direct sunshine as that was a very helpful suggestion to stop it going stale. Thanks @Dovefromabove for the recipe

I was just about to say "Ruddy hell, that hedgehog's got a problem", but then l realised what l was looking at. Seriously though @wild edges, good effort. I trust your wife was appreciative. Trouble is, you've got a job for life now
Soda bread. Although I quite like the idea of calling it disabled hedgehog bread. I'll work on the presentation for the next one... It was tasty though and the lumpy crust was the best bit so that's the main thing. My wife is planning to do a herby version with rosemary to go with stew which sounds like it will be lovely.

There are several recipe variations for soda bread on the BBC Good Food website. Just put soda bread in the search box. Even more on BBC Food @wild edges.

But did you shove any of it where the sun don't shine, or did you just eat it and store it?

That's bad to hear. If he was self employed for several years they are averaging over the last 3 years I think.
I've just sent it to my sister - her birthday is in a couple of weeks time.
