It's a lovely sunny day and we have a large plot so the dogs have been outside with us enjoying the fresh air while we potter. However, I've had to bring them in because Bonzo objected to neighbour Bruno trimming his conifer hedgerow.
Frankly, I'm not surprised Bonzo was barking. Bruno was wearing just a t-shirt and a pair of knickers!! Complaining all the while about the brambles and being frightened Bonzo would jump up and bite his bum. I reminded him Bonzo is a Labrador and will eat anything.

'I'll have a length of timber, my good man' 'It comes in 2.4 or 3.6 metre lengths' 'Ah ok - I'll have 2.4 thank you' 'What width?' 'Eh - 10 cm/ 100 mm?'

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
my polytunnels length comes in multiples of 8ft and width multiples of 3feet, but they don't say 8ft on the instruction, it's 2.43m or whatever. How about " take the 2" x 1/4" batten and fix with a 45mm nail" ?.
I see Kirsty, she who b******d off down south to isolate at her country seat, has a new craft programme to learn the great unwashed how to amuse themselves indoors.

It's not a great country seat. Next door to someone I know. She's usually only there about 2 weeks a year. " A home is for life, not just for August" springs to mind.
Yet she defensively claimed in the press her Devon home IS her home, even though her kids go to school in London and that is where her work is presumably based.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
OK so been in the garden and I think I have the hang of this 6'6" in the real world - so maybe now I will be allowed out?
I had to speak severely to the robin who kept encroaching in my allotted space, he put his head on one side and then swooped in to catch a fly on the wing. I don't think he cares really.
