VERY , VERY curmudgeonly this evening. Folk have booked slots for delivery, then sometimes with only minutes to spare , cancel them so not enough time for someone else to use them. We had 26 deliveries all day. One of our 4 vans wasn't even used. I had 2 deliveries this afternoon. Good to be home at 6 , but so angry with selfishness.
Yes hostafan thatâs because some greedy sods are booking slots for all four supermarkets in the hope of getting loads of stuff, when they find its delivered theyâll cancel the next one.Â

That's exactly what I said earlier. Fine, cancel, but do it as soon they know they don't want it, so someone else can have it. The flip side is the little old girl who came in first thing and thanked every single one of us for coming into work. Bless'er. Delivered to a customer who had a sign on her front door " Thank you to all delivery drivers. You are all stars"Â
I won't say what I'd like to say @Hostafan1. I'm in the position of having to wait until mid April for a shop [C&C] and I'll have to hope neither myself, or younger daughter, catches this from older daughter, or I won't be able to go out for anything next weekend to keep us going until that time slot . I have enough food for this week, and I have a neighbour who has offered to add stuff to his delivery next weekend for me, if we're stuck. His wife is currently in bed with symptoms.Â
Lots of other people are in the same position, or even worse.
I hope these ******* are proud of themselves.Â
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I think it depends where it is too @Hostafan1 I tried staying up until midnight on Friday as well, to see if things worked as a new day started, but there was clearly a problem.
I've got another rant. Why do people start a thread, having never posted, and when a respected forum member here offers advice, they give them a rude response?Â

Some folk want to hear, what they want to hear, which isn't always the truth??
For want of something better to do, I watched an episode of Midsomer Murders, the older ones,  he came out with my not favourite line, (and you are) I remember once  I was at Tintagel church working on a headstone, the vicar came along and said just that to me, I just replied âpainting this headstone â
Some people are so rude! Â Perhaps I was the rude one, but I donât take things like that from anyone, if they want to know who I am , they can ask in the proper manner.

I'll blame it on the self isolating...
I could care less though! I've had a good afternoon in the garden
