My Dad used to get a reduction in the fee because he was registered blind without having to go through a lot of form filling. I would have thought some similar rebate/reduction could be contrived based on age in order to taper the reintroduction of full fees

it's a link to a report from BBC, so some on here will instantly dismiss it.
I wouldn't mind paying the full fee if only there were good programmes I wanted to watch, most of BBC/ITV is pure drivel and I never listen to radio at all. I watch 3-4 programmes a week, if that, which seems an expensive ratio.
