Thanks for that @edhelka and nice to see Blue for You in purplerallim’s photo above, you can see where it gets the lilac tones from.
Couldn’t resist posting this, Lady Emma Hamilton seems very late this year, most of the rest of the Austins are coming to the end of their first flush already. We are due more rain anytime now, but I’m hoping she will escape the effects: Sandra the Spanish Water Dog, on the other hand, loves the rain!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I can't imagine my roses covered in any more aphids than they are (even without liquid feeding). You can't see the buds for the crust of green creatures. It makes my skin crawl. I've never seen it as bad as this year. Some roses are almost weighted down with them and some are barely touched. All rather odd. And, no, in my wildlife garden we don't get ladybirds and the sparrows don't seem very interested.
I don't know what happened but the aphids situation got significantly better here. Probably thanks to the birds. I still have some plus leafhoppers and caterpillars but it's not too bad.
@Omori I have some questions regarding Sulphur rose. Are the white splotches still there, on your roses? This is discussed a lot in its Amazon reviews and questions&answers and opinions differ about how bad it is. Have you used the powder version (recommended amount or weaker?) or the premixed spray version? I am thinking about using it selectively for two or three roses and maybe only once a month but I am not sure and it isn't cheap. I am also worried that it could acidify my soil. Thanks very much for sharing the experience.

...it was in another garden, not this one... I had a 30 foot length of wall..but you don't need that really, so worry about that later..
And Blue for You trying hard (its usually the first) but with so many buds it has hardly room to open.
