  • An anecdote from my experience of having the COVID booster vaccine this autumn: My experience was markedly different from when I received previous COVID boosters. I only felt slightly unwell for about 24hours, (within about ten hours of having the jab) and after that, I felt markedly better than I had for months before, with lots of energy, better digestion and a reduction in aches and pains. I feel it kick-started something good in my body. It was the first time I had the Pfizer jab, I think as previously I had AZ or Moderna, if I remember correctly. I wonder if this is a common reaction to this or other vaccines?

We've been lucky I suppose as neither my wife nor I have had any bad effects from either the AZ or Pzifer vaccines, other than a sore arm for a couple of days.  We haven't had any obvious symptoms of Covid either.
  • I have mentioned before that we lost a family member to Covid when no vaccines were available. A few weeks ago we lost another family member Covid related neither were elderly.
I am grateful for vaccines what type of world would we be living in without them?

GardenerSuze 💞. To those who were asking about the lung function and capacity excercises, firstly, please consult a medical professional,if you currently have COPD, chest infection, pneumonia, etc, I don't want to kill anyone off. One of the recommendations is to strengthen the diaphragm. You breath in deeply, breath out as far as possible, hold, your breath. You are meant to work up to 30 seconds,I'll be honest, I can only manage 10.

@GardenerSuze I'm so sorry you've lost loved ones.  Always difficult, even in "normal" circumstances.

@clematisdorset all our jabs have been Pfizer.   Sore arms but no bursts of energy but then we're lucky enough to be generally fit and not lacking oomph.

@Nanny Beach which bit is 30 seconds,  the breathing in and holding it or the breathing out or the whole process?
I use a method like that to get to sleep,  called mindful breathing.

Lyn,breath in,breath out, hold without breathing in again,as long as you can, working up to 30 seconds. Good job I don't go deep sea diving!

My daughter is a Practice Nurse and has now had Covid 3 times.
This 3rd time was a bit tougher as she is 8½ months pregnant but only took to her bed for a day!
To my knowledge I have not knowingly had Covid in the last 4 years.
Our entire family have all been very lucky throughout the pandemic and of course all fully vaccinated!
