Thank you @Ladybird4. The management there are very good with her, as they know she has some problems. I hope she sees the chap who was kind to her again, as I want her to pass on my thanks to him too.
I also saw that nurse on the news. It's so depressing, but when we have people putting rude messages on ambulances when they're out trying to save lives, it isn't surprising.
    Scum, all of them.

I was joking about lawyers of course @Dovefromabove. I also know a couple who are very decent indeed  ;)

Just spoke to my son, he said they are fed up with delivering ‘stupid bits of plastic tat to private homes’. Please think twice about whether you really need what you’re ordering and spare a thought for delivery drivers.  They have some very important items to deliver.
He also said one of the people who has the same illness as him,  didn’t feel well on Sunday, died on Wednesday, there is nothing they can do for them.
I am urging him to stay home from work, he could get a letter of authority but he wants to keep going!   Fearing he will lose his private rent house.
If I sell my house it will be worth it for his life. 😢

Oh @Lyn. Nothing is worth his health.
Does his landlord have a mortgage on the property? If so, he should be getting a holiday from it. Surely they can pass that on to tenants?

Trying to set my wife up to work via Skype and phone. Companies selling headsets seem to have measures in place to stop anyone buying them in bulk. I assume there's some price gouging going on as demand has increased. :|

@Lyn I may be wrong, but I think the government has passed a law stating it is illegal to evict tenants for the next 3 months.

ANYONE WHO HAS READ THAT POTUS HAS SAID THAT CHLOROQUINE HAS BEEN LICENSED AS A TREATMENT FOR COVID 19. IT IS FALSE NEWS.
IT IS UNDERGOING TRIALS, BUT THE FDA HAS NOT APPROVED ITS USE.
How can you lie there and think of England

The POTUS really is a POS. There are reports of panic buying and overdoses of chloroquine already thanks to him trying to pretend he's the saviour of the world.

Yes that is true, I have the Martin Lewis email regularly, it’s set out very well, but the trouble is with the big estates down here, the owners are not that helpful, yes they maybe will waive the rent for now but it still has to be paid back,  if it’s not as quick as they’d like, they will find a legitimate reason for him to get out.
When  he had that 3 months off when he was trying for that other treatment, I paid it and made his wages up,   I will do it again, but he’s reluctant to do what he sees as scrounging after all he had before.
It could  go on for over a year, and that is quite likely until the vaccine has been proven.

Think this may be of interest to us. It comes from the John Hopkins Tracker which I think is reliable information.
'According to a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, can live in the air and on surfaces between several hours and several days. The study found that the virus is viable for up to 72 hours on plastics, 48 hours on stainless steel, 24 hours on cardboard, and 4 hours on copper. It is also detectable in the air for three hours.'

A couple of people said hello to me in the street - like they only do if there's snow on the ground or the bus is an hour late. What on earth is happening to London?
Aren’t humans strange, yet fascinating, beings. That made me smile.

I went to the corner shop (a SM mini type) for a few bits for MIL earlier and the shelf stacker spoke to me and the cashier asked if it was ok if he put my things in the bag. Apparently people have been asking for the cashier not to pack. I said that I was grateful for the food and grateful that he had turned up to work. I did notice somebody had been out with the tape marking “social distance” for the queue line too.
