Nephew's rugby team in Suffolk have been told today by their team doctor not to use any NSAIDS he may have prescribed them.  Think that's pretty clear.

  • Just seen them say on bbc news that if we only get 20,000 deaths that's the best we can hope for😳 I dont want to know that. It's like when boris is being interviewed.beth from sky news always asks how many will die.theres already enough headless chickens running around.we need to be informed but not terrified.otherwise society will collapse and we will never go out again.

You may not want to know it, but with so many people taking no notice of the advice being handed out by the government, it might just focus a few minds into taking this more seriously.

You have to put that into perspective. In any flu  winter, even with many vaccinated, we get 10,000 extra deaths attributed to the flu.  That is no consolation if it is one of your loved ones, but  I think it is inevitable that a lot of old people, many of whom have underlying health issues such as heart disease or respiratory illness, will die.

The information about virus particle size in that letter doesn't match what is known about SARS type viruses like this one. Size range is known to be in the range 80-90nm, not 500nm.

    Don't watch it then  ;)
The meedja loves scaremongering. They're not going to let common sense get in the way of a good bit of sensationalism. They get more attention than the people trying to give correct and appropriate advice.

@debs64 thank you for your comments. I was only passing on the message from my friend and if it helps anyone then that is all that matters. I hope that your son recovers soon.

Our flight back to France was cancelled, as I said before, OH has booked another on Saturday but I'm sure it will be cancelled. I don't think we should be travelling, especially OH who is 78 so we'll stay here. Friends and son will deal with the horses and more hay is being delivered next week.

As we'd eaten all the food in the fridge because of planning to leave I went to Morrisons this morning. No loo rolls, UHT milk, tinned veg, couldn't find frozen veg but there was a lot of fresh veg and fruit. No chicken breasts but plenty of fish and beef. There were eggs but we aren't keen on them. Anyway, we won't starve for at least a week, probably two. We have a fridge freezer here, now full.

Glad that OH's Norfolk cottage has a garden and the daffodils I planted are out. I will miss my French daffodils this year, but I'm feeling more distance from my French house as I've been trying to sell it. That will be on hold too now, the latest viewing has been cancelled.

I have mentioned this earlier on in the thread. It is a common myth that inflammation is always good.
Many diseases are caused by an extreme inflammatory response; sepsis and rheumatoid arthritis being two of them.
One of the reasons for the benefit of Turmeric in arthritis is its anti-inflammatory effects.
However I think the NSAIDS and COVID 19 may be real.
