Stained tea cups, steel wool! If you damage the glazing inside, they get more stained.! Read back a few pages on here, cannot be bothered to add my tuppence worth. Just to say, 2020, my youngest daughter isolated for 3 months with the kids because of grandsons health issues. He's now 10, his sister 12 just before Christmas waiting her first jab. They went back to school Monday, tested positive yesterday. So far,OK,am keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way.

@Nanny Beach,   They’re late getting jabs out in your area,  my 12 year old grandson’s had his second.   I thought they were vaccinating younger now.
Interested to know if they are all wearing masks in her school?

The reference and link above is for a paper produced by the Foresight Programme which was run by previous Government Chief Scientific Advisors. It is a long read but will give you a good insight into the level of thinking  and international cooperation which takes place on such threats. Contrary to some of the reports you read in the press successive governments have long been aware of possible future threats like Covid.

Just watch the film Contagion 2011.  Apart from the R rate, it was so predictive it was scary.

I heard that viewing figures went through the roof when Covid was first announced and badly freaked people out. It was no. 1 on Netflix for most of 2020.  (I haven't seen it). Matt Hannock says it determined his response to the pandemic. 🙄

We lost a friend in 1968 to a flu pandemic  which also lasted just 2 years and originated in China.
