Exactly so @Dovefromabove, do you listen to  the long view on R4 ? They compare recent events and give examples of how it's all happened before.

That's not a genuine Pepys quote just in case you didn't already know. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/taverns-gadabouts-samuel-pepys/
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

True,  I spend a lot of my time on Snopes  there’s so much rubbish going around on social media,  then I report it as fake,   I am a suitable case for ‘get a life’ 😀

No, I didn't @wild edges but it does make the point rather well.

Well I guess we could always have a poll............
    1.  Are you leaning towards the Left, Right . Centre or Extreme ( either way for the latter.
    2.  What sort of biscuits do you like ?
    3.  Would you own up to liking an "unpopular " biscuit or would you hide your preference for the sake of your political leanings ?
    4.  Are you prepared to stand up for your Biscuit regardless of politics ?
    5.  Finally as this is ( or was ) a Covid thread, has there been any research carried out and verified to suggest that 1 biscuit ( say a Bourbon ) offers more immunity than a Digestive or a Custard Cream ?
    Food for thought ?  :D

I'll take just about any biscuits except the vile pink wafers and the inappropriately-named Nice biscuits. What that says about my politics, I don't know.

At primary school back in the sixties at breaktime you could buy 2 x Rich Tea biscuits for 1d or a 1 x Chocolate Wafer for 2d.
I always had the Rich Tea (because you got 2 and they were the cheapest) and I still love them to this day!

We got 6 gingernuts for thruppence. I liked leaving them in my pocket till the next day and eating them when they’d gone soft. I still do.
