Cummings is a deeply discredited man who, amongst other sins, broke Covid rules and then lied about it.  he has refused to appear before Select Committees whilst employed as a senior adviser but now he's lost that position he can't wait to spill all sorts of beans.  He's gone from being a "man at the centre of government"  to one who know says he had nothing to do with any of it and it's all someone else's fault.

Not hard to conclude he's a deeply dishonest and deluded person.

Agree with @Lyn about his body language too.

What you do have to ask is why Bojo thought it OK to have him around after IDS had sacked him for being less than satisfactory.

He's clearly a liar. As is Boris. You have to assume that what neither of them said is most likely the truth.
As @Obelixx says, the only firm conclusion you can draw is that Boris has extremely poor judgement. I think we already knew that

...do you have to believe either of them?... How can you have an isolation system that works in both a mandatory and optional way within this country and that also leaves you free to do whatever you like if you go abroad and come back. If you then come to the conclusion that that is what's happening and that it's insane, then whether you like Cummings or not, or whether you like Boris or not, the actions don't make sense and seem to then confirm with Cummings assessment that this bunch is out of its depth.

Whether Cummings is a liar or not will be (hopefully) proven when the enquiry into Covid starts.

Most politicians are, or become, liars, it goes with the job. If anybody believes them, they are incredibly naive.

Cummings is already a proven liar and, on last night’s performance, a megalomaniac too.  Boris has lied repeatedly throughout his career … has been sacked for it …  and is an entitled egocentric charlatan who has been educated beyond his intellect.

We need better, but the unfortunate weakness of democracy is that the country gets the government it deserves rather than the one it needs 🙄

I apologise. I think I was wrong in my scenario - so the politicians aren't that inept, I am!

I yearn for the good old days when all we had to worry about was biscuits (page 622 I believe)!

Well I guess we could always have a poll............
    1.  Are you leaning towards the Left, Right . Centre or Extreme ( either way for the latter.
    2.  What sort of biscuits do you like ?
    3.  Would you own up to liking an "unpopular " biscuit or would you hide your preference for the sake of your political leanings ?
    4.  Are you prepared to stand up for your Biscuit regardless of politics ?
    5.  Finally as this is ( or was ) a Covid thread, has there been any research carried out and verified to suggest that 1 biscuit ( say a Bourbon ) offers more immunity than a Digestive or a Custard Cream ?
    Food for thought ?  :D

1.I’m not leaning at all, I’ve collapsed completely.
2,3 &4. Only Digestives,  I would fight for them them, and sometimes have too.
    5.  Only the genuine article will do,  like masks, no good buying the cheap ones they just don’t do it.  Or, is that the snob in me, they have to be Mc Vities.
