Well I made a thinly veiled joke post a while ago about cats potentially spreading covid-19 and it looks like it was promptly removed. However...
So maybe keeping your cats indoors for a while is the responsible thing to do. I can honestly see this going badly for cats if social media starts another fake campaign against them. Just be careful is all I'm saying. If morons are willing to set fire to mobile phone masts to stop 5G spreading viruses then how would they treat a cat? :/
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Do comments get removed in this site? Does someone have to report them first?

I think they have to be reported first... have you something in mind, @B3?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I can't find the post I made but the search function does suck on this site...
Also: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-00984-8 this article does give scientifically proven details on how domestic cats can catch the virus and spread it to other cats. The risk to humans is low apparently but I imagine it depends how much you cuddle your cat and how much contact your cat is likely to have with other cats.

Reporting of casualties seems odd to me, specifically the phrase "died after testing positive for Covid-19". This implies that it is being tested that kills you which is of course nonsense. Strange how odd little things can annoy us in the current circumstances.

It's difficult isn't it ... if my Aged Ps were still with us and Pa caught Covid it would've seen him off ... but really he was dying of 'old age'  and decrepitude anyway and wouldn't have lasted much longer.  What goes on the death certificate is only part of the story ... officially Ma died from organ failure following a bleed due to a tumour ... she was already dying of old age and Alzheimer's ... the tumour just speeded things up a bit.

The statistics don't tell us whether a person died of it or with it.
